Your paying on the education? Sucker cheapest money you will ever get. I just keep getting more student loans. Mba starts in June.

five years into her phd? my wifes "boss" decided he wanted her to add two more chapters to her thesis...this was after the committee had already agreed that she only needed to write up her thesis and she was done...
the "boss" had just landed a 1/4million dollar grant based on her work in the first chapter, and he had written the grant up with her as his post doc... he decided to "save" himself the difference between paying her as grad student or a post-doc... 20K$ at least for him...he took her case to the committee and they graduated her anyway (quite an embarrassmenet for him)...against the "bosses" wish... the deal for us? not only would we lose the added income? but it would have cost us two more years of school....
then he tried to block publication of her third chapter in a peer reviewed journal...he was successful in blocking the first one, but the second one? (a "higher impact" journal) LOL she got it..he even went so far as to refuse to have his name mentioned, and or his work cited in his attempt to block the second journal from publishing..(he didn't have contacts at that editorial board)
so now? she got it published and he's not even on it..
still makes it hard when you can't use your Committee chairman and principal investigator on half your work as a reference...
revenge is a dish best served cold....

Look at this way - the college degree improves her marital prospects. As long as she marries a rich man, she will divorce rich, and have a family as well. Who needs to work if you are female and good marital material?
