a few years back me and another gentleman
along with 2 elderly ladies traveled to a funeral
in a distant town.

Understanding the proper order of things the elderly ladies sit in the back sit. While we two men rode in the front seat.

We were unable to find the funeral home after driving around the city 4 or 5 time. one of the
ladies spoke up and said why don't we stop and ask for directions..

the fellow with me responded: "Madam, as long
as there is money in my pocket and gas in the
tank, I will not violate the sacred code of man
and stop and ask for directions."

there is a cavet to this rule. although
it is totally unacceptable for a man to stop
and ask for directions it is prefectly all
right to stop and send the wife in to ask for
directions.
