Don't hold your breath waiting for Iran to have any influence over Iraq. Iraq is destined to be the dominant power in the mideast, closely allied with the U.S.

Wonder why?

Iran becomes democratic within 5 years - a direct outgrowth of the military presence in Iraq and the U.S. establishing democracy in Iraq. A secular government eventually results after democracy in Iran. A lasting peace comes to the mideast - this process is starting now as terrorists are near defeat.

Dumocrats are shocked and bewildered over these future events - but don't give Bush due credit.

You heard it here first.

well, i do hope you are correct...the dems put on a very poor campaign last time. my basic concern and i've expressed it over and over is not the adult terrorists we are fighting...it's the children that are growing up and seeing with their own eyes that we are the enemies of their parents...
i find it interesting that you are able to support Bush logically but your religious belief system best matches the devil of his professed religious belief system.
after all Satan/Lucifer's basic sin was to attempt to be on God's same level, and this is is what you profess regularly...
i see this all as a holy war with no-one ready to admit that it is(except the terrorists)...
yes oil is at stake, but it doesn't take much to stop the flow, as the terrorists have proven over and over...
if we leave? i personally expect that the govt will go fundamental very quickly...

so, in order for us to stay? things have to remain unstable....

If the children of terrorists become terrorists, they will die. If they choose to build a democratic mideast they will benefit.

Why do you concern yourself with the plight of the former, when they get what they deserve in being killed, as the latter get what they deserve in benfiting from constructive and cooperative effort?

This is liberal pity for criminals - misguided love. Criminals should be incarcerated or killed as should terrorists. Pity and concern for them is support for their evil. It is their responsibilty to improve/rehabilitate theirselves, not mine. It is my reponsiblity to love my self, family and nation, and to improve/reahbilitate those who can or will contribute to my self, family or nation - a rational morality and not the morality of liberal nuts or Christ crazies.

Bush is able to perceive reality and make good judgements in spite of his nutsy religion. Thus Bush is able to reward friends and punish enemies, and defend self, family and nation - pre-emptively where this is prudent. Bush thus uses my morality and not the sicko morality of religion.

Satan exists only in sadistic or aggressively greedy motivations in the universe, which are a part of the iuniversal flow (God). Satan is not an entity but only an abstraction from evil motivations and actions as defined above. As an abstraction, Satan doesn't really exist (rather it is an overgeneralized conceptualization that can be reified in disordered or invalid thought, particularly in religious discussion). My morality is not satanic - I would fight sadisim and/or aggressive greed. However, aggresssion or greed, in and of themselves, are not evil they can be good or evil. Sadistic aggression or aggression in the service of selfishness (greed) is always evil and must be contained or destroyed.

i didn't mean to imply that your morality is satanic...your morality is functional to say the least...

i was trying to point out that Satan, as described in the bible, believed he was a God (more or less, this is simplified cuz i'm lazy) or equal to God...

i think MOST children are born "clean"...although i have seen some brats that were damn nasty at a pretty early age...

my concern for THEIR children is actually a concern for my own...we should never have left Iraq the way we did in the first war....if we were only gonna go back and do this,i was confident then that Bush 1 had a good reason to leave sadam in....now i'm not so sure about any of 'em...that's all...

Children are born with inherited tendencies, traits, motivations, abilities, etc.

Just how these manifest in developmnet is influenced by environmental inputs but such inputs are interpreted largely nby inherited factors - both genetic and environmental factors are important, but there is no tabla rosa.

Your concern for all children is an abstracted concern based on your innately based concern for your own children. This is an overgenralized love need. The same thing is more clearly shown when we pity criminal - overgeneralized abstracted need that is misguided love. Universal love is another example. Such abstracted needs are inductively formed from experience where intellectual discrinmination is lacking - a form of thought disorder that is so widespread it is not recognized as a problem.

Bush Sr. left Saddam alone because the coalition forces, and France, Russia and Germany, wanted him to stop short of bringing down Saddam. They had many reasons for this. We yielded to them, but it was not in our best interests or the world's best interest for us to yield.
