Does anyone here trade for a living (a good one)? It's my dream to get out of the rat race and do this full time. Any advice, inspirational stories, rules from the pros?

the thing with daytrading is you wanna' be in and out FAST! So you need to have the funds to be able to live off of the 20% gainers as well as keeping 25,000.00 in your account. LOL

i am a part time successful swing trader. As most of my money making postions are held for a week or more.
I do daytrade for fun 10% to 100% bangers here or there but its tough to invest a lot in a runner so making bank is smaller.
recent example: i bought 100k of UAMA (shy of5k worth) between .041 and .043 it is currently .065 x .07 and I expect much more.
I have taken 20% of my shares off the table. I expect this stock to triple what I bought at. If I do this with 10 stocks this year (less than 1 a month) FAT BANK :)To make money this way, you have to be right and trust your DD.

All you have to do to make money daytrading is buy before the run and sell during the run. It is easy. Usually as soon as you see a 15-30% gain it is time to jump out.

You need to pay for a service with filters and set up filters so when a stock moves the way you like it, it shows up. Also you need L2's to see how the MM's are lined up. Then you need some money because 8 out of 10 picks will not move. Last, but not least is some luck and skill.

i already have the filters with micro cap and L2... but still didn't have specific strategy to do it .... hard to set up rules for trading penny stocks

I trade full time, and take in between 1k -1500 a week............plus 500-1000 from Forex...........and I just started doing this FULLTIME in August
gunna make 100k this year......
im only 20 so i got lots of time to learn.

I'd wait till you've gotten some good capital to fall back on, then ponder quitting your day job. Idk if you want to give it a try just take a week off of work and see how it fits you.
