TASER(R) System Saves Lives of Three Hostages

Suspect Wanted for Assaulting Police Officer
WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR), a market leader in advanced electronic control devices released the following News Alert:

According to news reports from the San Jose Mercury News, a standoff between San Jose police and a parolee who held three people hostage in an East San Jose apartment ended peacefully thanks to the deployment of a TASER device.

Sgt. Nick Muyo said police had been looking for Mike Grecu, 36, ever since he brawled with a police officer in September and then escaped. Then, Thursday evening, San Jose Police tracked Grecu to an apartment where he was holding a nine-year-old boy and two women as hostages.

Lasting nearly 12 hours, the standoff ended Friday morning when Grecu broke the police perimeter and officers deployed a TASER to bring him into custody. All three hostages emerged unharmed.

This comapny has been COMPLETELY ROBBED IMO!!!

This company does 50 times the good that it even thinks about doing bad.

The simple question is: if it was you or one of your family members being an as*hole and resisting police and fighting with them, how would u want them to subdue you:
1. Beat you with a metal baton that does damage
2. Have 4 cops drag you to the ground and break your arm and smash your face on the concrete
3. Shoot you and maybe they dont kill you
4. Taser you and u be nice, they cuff you, you go to jail and then u go home!

To my knowledge they are named in a couple dozen law suits that people have died in, what about the 9,000 lifes that were saved as a result of the police not putting lead into ur body!!

Until the Feds step in like they did with the firearms and hold them harmless this company is going NOWHERE and thats just a shame because it is truly one of the best,if not the best, law enforcement technology in 30+ years and actually works and saves lifes!
