Is there anyone that wouldn't mind mentoring me a little on options? I like the idea of them, but have a few questions to see if I am understanding them better.

You should look at "Jim Cramer's Real money" if your just looking for an overview in options.
If you want to know everthing about stock options you should read "Getting Started in Options 5th edition" by Michael C. Thomsett.

"Options as A Strategic Investment" by Lawrence McMillan gives you a comprehensive, scholarly detailed explanation of most option plays. It also introduces you to Futures trading, arbitrage...etc.
