denzen Member	posted February 20, 2004 02:16 The first 3 days of quiting any habits are the worse. It's all day by day but there are some critical stretches. The next hurdle is ten days, then 21, then 30. Once you get past 40 days the habit should be physically kicked and the psychological aspect is much easier to deal with. My long portfolio also took a whuppin. I did some reviewing to see if I needed to do some rearranging. I do not think so. I think it just the market adjustment that happens about 4 times a year. I have found that after such adjustments the good solid investments always prevail. That is why I keep a considerable 75% of my stock market holdings in mid and large cap stocks which thru history have prevailed due to hugh cash reserves,outstanding PE, and tremendous management teams. Nothing could bring us down, could they "girlfriend"? My confessions have gotten so long that I would take up a chapter and a half in the frickin' book: the doctor's call, the xanax prescription, the pharmacy call of "can I take more?", the one time a day meals that have gone to once a week now. My butt is now conformed to Deg's chair also, all I have to do is sit on one cheek, don't even have to move. I can even read a chart across the room, no need to sit close to screen!! Are they making "big screen" monitors yet? Come on newbies!! Sign on, you won't know how good you feel until after your first meeting. 4:00 a.m. still feels like 12 noon once you get started...LOL Robin IP: Logged

I set my alarm for 730am to get up, make coffee, read message boards (all of them) start up L2, read business wire dot com, look at my scottrade balance and wonder what went wrong, and then sit around for 6.5 hours and think I know everything.
