Focus on Storage by Joe Luminoso, Director—Storage Practice ….We have seen our Federal team grow to include resources focused on, sales, Project management, consulting services and engineering implementation solutions. The SoftNet Federal team is quickly becoming our largest group supporting NetApp and several other identified opportunities. This rapid growth and end-user awareness of SoftNet’s enterprise strengths and solutions value add is the impetus for establishing a new D.C. office in March. This opening supports our business model of branch expansion at a point in time that the local business can support the dedicated resources in a region. This expansion will continue over the next few months with office in Boston, Chicago and Northern California coming online to meet the regional demands of all the SoftNet Practice solutions sets. In other news, we have aggressively managed our relationships with several Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value Added Resellers (VARs) to establish SoftNet as a “go to provider” for consulting solutions related to the design, delivery and on going support of storage solutions. NetApp and SoftNet entered into a national services contract as well as invited Softnet to participate in global partner pilot program that will assist this customer in further defining how and when to engage partner resources. We have also signed a global with another OEM that has us designated as an Authorized Services Provider, supporting ir mid-market segments and other storage related consulting services. Industry analyst put the engagements associated with this market segment in the range of 1K – 150K. This partnership as well as our other fourth coming agreements will be discussed in upcoming news letters…..
Revenue for March will exceed $800,000 which surpasses the previous monthly record set in November of 2006 when the Company recorded revenues of $740,000, an 8% increase. Q1 2007 results will be communicated upon closing of the financial records for the month and quarter.

current o/s 360mm?? increase could be deals in the works. 48mm? we'll see if it's explained. won't hurt to ask either. maybe I was mistaken? hmmmmmmmm
Looks like a little green this morning ,, BooDog are you still in this ? I,m thinking of averaging down a little I got in last week at .02..
Posted by BooDog on :
after finding out what i did i almost sold out. but then i was thinking - if they did raise the os by 48 big ones it would be for a reason. and he already probably did what he was going to do with it so i'm in after the increase which is a good thing. looking at the 10k there is supposed to be another 10mm shares cancelled. still not the peachy pick share structure every one likes but we'll see how it goes. insiders will probably start buying now too imo. the previous ceo FARINELLA JAMES M, still holds some major shares. look at his average though. I would think he would use a little common sense and try to make money instead of bailing so much at even or a loss. the company is setting up pretty good imo. pretty good team in there now that might actually make some real money. this isn't without risk no doubt about it. for me i see potential worth the risk. and the chart is lookin better.

good question. I have no idea. You can watch the level IIs and see who the lead MM is -the controller so to speak. I saved a post from somewhere that said who the most common MM's are for certain types of stocks - be it pinks - OB- amex ect. imo you can watch and see which MM is buying and when during certain stages at certain prices. if you watch close enough you may be able to figure out when they buy and when they sell, go with the flow right? there is much more on this and may be discussed in Tex's reference thread in general investing topics. There usually is one or 2 mm's that control the pack so to speake imo. but finding out how much they hold? unless it qualifies as insider doubt you'll find out.
Posted by T e x on :
back when lex/nomi/momo was really wound up, he had an alias at one board that purported to be able to share such info... other than that, I myself have not run across claims to have access to that info...
because MM's allowed to trade for the company store, is unlikely it would be "public knowledge"
Posted by BooDog on :
My thoughts too Tex. Thanks.
folowing the lead MM on any given stock to me isn't that hard to figure out. The big WIZZZZ would be to dup the mm and make a run for it... would that be possible? doubt it. commercial break would end before the show starts and so would the run. You need MM's on the ask to show positive flow imo. Who are they?
consistancy. Who keeps showin up at the trough time and time again
for what it's worth... anything can change at any second
Posted by T e x on :
possible? doubtful...for sure not likely.
lol, I remember one last summer...can't recall the ticker offhand, but the spread and sales going though were clearly the signals for "we'll let it run." And it did...to a point. Seems like it started mid-20s...BUT when it hit 32-ish? NITE soaked up millions on the ask, and never budged...was like light falling into a black hole.
What time is that? Time to BAIL, lol...
can't make a career outta fighting MMs, imo
Posted by BooDog on :
"can't make a career outta fighting MMs, imo"
whew. rest in peace. Just goes back to show who makes the market. You loose the mm's at the bid what happens?
they show up on the ask what changes? I'm still learning all this mumbo jumbo but now... at the heart of the story... it takes a MM to be a MM.
no market.... no sale. imo you can gauge the mms especially on heavy volumes. I am still learning but the engineering techniques can't stop hypothesizing.
sounds like we're singin the same tune tex.

(UPDATED) Penny Stock Market Makers Who Are the Players in this Game
By Bill Panetta
Let Me Start off by saying this: Level 2 Does not have the same effect like it did 5 years ago except for OTCBB Stocks & Pink Sheet Stocks. What Do I mean By This? NASDAQ is all chart plays, level 2 has no meaning as it once did for NASDAQ Stocks, and too many games can be played now on level 2. Simply put if you don't know how to read the charts you will get killed on NASDAQ Stocks.
With all the changes on Level 2 Traders have been forced to learn TA, You could had a made a killing with level 2 before 2001 with out TA; I have witnesses that have proven this.
And when I make this comment I am talking about regular trading hours, after hour's different story. Bottom Line Level 2 does not have the same effect on NASDAQ Stocks that it did 5 years ago because of the New Super Soes Trading System being implemented in 2001 and along with 1 cent spreads, it was the worst thing NASDAQ ever did for traders IMO. The Traders from 5 yrs ago know what I am talking about.
Let's talk about the 2 exchanges where Level 2 has not changed and having level 2 is really important to your trading. I am talking about The OTCBB & PINKSHEET Markets.
If you learn how to read into Level 2 on the OTCBB & PINK SHEETS it will really enhance your trading. Let's break down the Market Markets.
There are 4 categories of Market Makers let's start by talking about the first one.
Retail Market Makers:
These are the market makers from very popular brokerage firms. They handle a lot of the order flow for small retail investors.
NITE: NITE
UBSS: Schwab
SBSH: Citibank
ETRD: ETRADE
BOFA: Bank of the American
Second Category: This is the list that you really have to master because these are the MARKET MAKERS that can kill a stock in a hurry when there are the sitting on right side of the box on Level 2.
HDSN: killed CKYS single-handedly
VFIN:
CGFL: new kid on the block for sub dilution
RBCM: Old CLYP. Has killed many sub penny stocks in the past to no-bid.
FANC: used to be a heavy S-8 seller. May show up once in a great while.
SSGI: aggressive on sub penny stocks
Third category: There are lot market makers in this category so I will break it down to who are the most important: These are some of the more friendlier market makers on the street.
DOMS: one of my favorites MAXM: VERT: HILL: SALI: can be a seller at times JEFF: FRAN: very friendly ABLE: QUIN: haven't seen him around much lately VNDM: SEAB: MURF: getting active lately STGI: getting active lately VERT: WDCO: can be a seller at times PERT: NIII: BEST: GNLN: nice to see him back again EFGI: can be a seller at times
Category 4: ECN MARKET MAKERS: Electronic Routes these market makers are only used on OTC BB stocks. They do not work for pink sheet market.
ARCA: used a lot by promoters to sell stock TRAC: rarely used any more taken over by EDGX EDGX: new kid on the block
There are probably a few market makers that I left out or there will a few new market makers that show but for the most part these are the major players. Good luck hopes this helps.

EXCELLENT information There BooDog And Tex, The last post from both of you have answered a LOT of questions about trading and when to watch your 6 in my opinion. Do either of you know about a MM called LAMP, a few weeks back they where hitting either RSDS or PDGT really hard holding in down to beat the band , The odd thing about them was when they are on the ask their price was not showing on my Scottrade quote screen and they NEVER got on the Bid side ,On either . I called them and they gave no information about what they where doing , they where only there for 2 days selling the crap on lower shares holding the stock back and for the 2 days on the stock their ask entry time NEVER came off 8:00 am nut they would come in and out a different times of the day and hammer it back down. I emailed Scottrade and it took a feew emails for them to realize what they where doing then sent an email saying that they would invesitgate the situatione , Then the email I recieved I will past it here:
Thank you for your e-mail. Your response has been forwarded to the Scottrade Compliance Department for review. We appreciate your patience as your question is being researched. You will receive a response directly from the Compliance Department in 7-10 business days. Can A MM be popped in or paid just to dillute a stock? Then I get a letter stating that LAMP is not a participating MM for scottrade that is why they dont show up correctly.. That really does not make since to me , I though MMs where listed by the SEC and all trades where reported through them?? Sorry for the LONG read here but took a while to get most info out .. Gary
Posted by T e x on :
Trades are routed through a variety means...would have to bone up to reply accurately. But the short answer is sure, a given MM might be handling a given company's dilution. As I recall, LAMP is a NITE flunky, but I could be dead wrong, too...

Similar info is there discussing about finding the ax mm. But not the above post unless it is under one of the links.

If you look at the 10Q for June (I think) you will see we have about 60 million shares less now then we did when the stock went to .08 last year at that time. If they can get their overhead cost under control and make a profit we could actually have a keeper. Of course I have been saying that for a while now. TMAN...
Posted by BooDog on :
lmao Tman... just when you think you see a plan unfolding someone screws it all up. imo they have been spending so much on aquisitions and getting things aligned to what they think will make a decent model. and couple that with the old ceo selling out (hope he holds but have no control eh?) has caused this downward trend. if my guess is right this next quarterly will show the path i expect them to follow with a potential trend that won't get them out of the hole but should at least make some profits and begin to look even better by the end of the year. share reduction would be a key element and how they plan to do that i'm not sure yet but my ears and eyes are watching.

STTC (.018) Sets Record Month, Reports Q1 Preliminary Results
PrimeZone "PrimeZone "
ISELIN, N.J., May 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- SoftNet Technology Corporation (OTCBB:STTC) (German WKN:TG6) is pleased to report, on an un-audited and preliminary basis, results for the first quarter, 2007 and a monthly revenue record achieved in March.
Sales generated from all channels and practices contributed to a new monthly sales record of $836,400 for March. This equates to a $10 million annual run rate, based on the monthly results. In addition, preliminary estimates indicate the Company will report further progress in its effort to achieve profitability.
"The Company continues to make progress on all financial metrics. The record March is a milestone the employee team is proud of. All practices contributed to these results. Even with a calendar uplift for the month the results indicate a solid performance. On the profitability goal the Company is clearly progressing and is within striking distance," said Jim Booth-CEO.
The Company recorded, preliminarily, sales of $2,084,000 for Q1, 2007. This compares very favorably to the same period in 2006 when the Company reported quarterly revenue of $1,093,500. This is the first reporting period where a comparison of year to year continuing operations is possible.
Commenting on the Q1 results Mr. Booth reported: "The first quarter results continued the sales trend established last year and is the fifth consecutive quarter of increased revenue. The Company was pleased with the strong finish as the early months are traditionally slower due to the uncertainty of budgets and projects being renewed. While the Company did experience a limited number of project cancellations, new clients, projects and engagements were secured, contributing to the overall results of the quarter."

ISELIN, N.J., May 9, 2007 (*********wire via COMTEX) -- SoftNet Technology Corporation (OTCBB:STTC) (German WKN:TG6) announced today the expiration of a warrant originally issued to Sabrina Holdings.
In its Form 8-K filing of August 3, 2006, the Company announced the retirement and cancellation of $1,030,000 of long term debt in exchange for a Warrant to purchase up to 20,000,000 shares of the Company's Class A Common Stock at an exercise price of $.035 per share. That Warrant expired on April 30, 2007.
"The expiration of the Warrant reduces the number of shares the Company may have been obligated to issue in the future in the event the share price climbs. It is unfortunate that in spite of the performance of the Company over the past year the share price was not at a level commensurate with the progress recorded. Management continues to focus on growing the Company and achieving profitability. We are confident that the combination of the attainment of revenue projections and cost containment activities will result in the Company reporting a profitable position in the upcoming months" said Jim Booth, CEO.

The Warrant will expire on April 30, 2007. Any shares issuable upon exercise of the Warrant will be unregistered restricted stock and subject registration or an exemption therefrom; (ii) In exchange for the retirement and cancellation of $530,000 of long term debt to DD Investments, the Company has agreed to issue of 5,000,000 shares of the Company’s Class A Common Stock. The shares issuable will be unregistered restricted stock and subject registration or an exemption therefrom.
---------------
They never exercised their warrants. miss understanding on having to wait for the exercise price? imo they could have exercised and taken what they could in exchange for tradable but restricted shares. The risk with warrants worked in Softnets favor imo. Another question is if Softnet will be willing to work out another deal or risk getting themselves blackballed or if Sabrina will just bite the bullet.
edited - if i'm way off base here someone please step in and correct me.

We believe that undervalued companies operating within a growing industry are two factors which need to be understood and incorporated into an investor's approach. We will be reviewing the major news and overall direction of the technology sector as its direction has a varying influence on every company residing within it.
In recent technology news Microsoft Corp. and Yahoo! Inc. have reportedly held talks about a partnership intended to boost their share of the Web search and advertising market. This partnership is most likely aimed to eclipse or at best catch up to Google the largest search engine in the world.
It should be noted that these discussions are in the early stages and reportedly focus on a partnership not a merger. The advertising capabilities of these search engines needs to be constantly reviewed. Shares of Yahoo jumped the most in three years Friday following the report in the New York Post which stated Microsoft wants to buy the company. The advertising world is adapting rapidly on the internet and is a multi billion dollar industry.
Let's turn back to SoftNet Technology Corp. and learn more about this company's recent news and current objectives. Their CEO, Jim Booth had this to say following the news. "The expiration of the Warrant reduces the number of shares the Company may have been obligated to issue in the future in the event the share price climbs. He went on to state that, "We are confident that the combination of the attainment of revenue projections and cost containment activities will result in the Company reporting a profitable position in the upcoming months." They were also notified by HP of an extension to their Business Development Partner Agreement through May 31, 2009. This speaks volumes towards their current relationship and satisfaction level of past work. We are reviewing comments made by Greg Geodakyan the lead Technical Manager to gauge the overall direction of this company. Our system posted a WAIT today. The previous SELL recommendation was issued on 03.22.2007 (78) days ago, when the stock price was 0.0270. Since then STTC has fallen -60.74% .
Our WAIT tag says all that is to say. Stay at cash or check the other stocks while waiting the next signal. Do not bother with buying or short selling this stock as long as the WAIT tag stays.

SoftNet Technology Achieves 6th Consecutive Quarter of Growth Wednesday August 1, 4:01 pm ET
ISELIN, N.J., Aug. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- SoftNet Technology Corp. (OTC BB:STTC.OB - News) (German WKN:TG6) is pleased to announce preliminary, un-audited, revenue results for the second quarter indicating the Company will record its 6th consecutive quarter of increasing revenues.
Revenue for the second quarter will exceed $2,100,000, which compares favorably to the same period prior year when the Company recorded revenues of $1,518,000, a 38% increase year to year. Additionally, while not final, the Company further closed the gap toward profitability. Q2 2007 results will be formally communicated upon closing of the financial records for the quarter.
``The second quarter's performance was mixed. While the Company was pleased to achieve another quarter of increased revenue it was not as strong as earlier forecasted. This was due to a combination of delays in projects beginning and a slower than expected ramp up for a new client. However, 10 delayed and new projects started in July, which are an indication of a stronger Q3 performance. Additionally, the sales pipeline remains solid,'' said Jim Booth, CEO
