I gave this to a few people here via PM on 8/8 - 8/9 as watch and a possible runner soon. I liked it's behavior regarding price and volume on 8/8/06. On 8/8 it closed at .013, and since has traded as high as .016, a modest 23%, but it ceratinly hasn't tanked.
You might want to learn to do some investigation and reading, "DD", before you buy into a stock because, "A friend of mine recommended it to me". I am not sure in what context you are looking at this stock, as a quick play or a long term play. My first rule of pennies, is, they are all pieces of crap, and none are to be treated as investments. Somehow I have the impression you think these pennies are going to be real companies some day, and you're gonna be on the ground floor. I don't know that for sure, but if that is your thought process, you are going to learn some hard lessons, quick.
Now, why don't you learn a few things for yourself. I saw your other thread you started, and it was ridiculous, 1000% gainers.
First thing that is important to know is the companies O/S, (outstanding shares. If you don''t know the difference between O/S, A/S, (authorized shares, and float, (O/S less what insiders hold), then I suggest you go to investepedia.com, and start reading and eduacating yourself. If you want to find a company's O/S you go to pinksheets.com, and look at their last Form 10 filed under the SEC filings tab, (only OTCBB companies will have such filings, pinks are not required to file, some pinks do file financials and you can find that under the financials tab, not all do). If you don't know the difference between OTCBB and pinks, you have major trouble, and only luck will make you money, but eventually you'll follow the wrong lead dog and wind up in a wreck.
So, why don't you make an effort to learn something on your own. I'm going to do some basic, very preliminary DD on UDTT and post it my next post here, If you don't understand what the hell it means I suggest you learn more before you spend one thin snhiny dime on this crap.

First :

I like todays volume and the fact that the price is down. That probably doesn't make sense to you, and maybe some others, and maybe many others don't understand what's to like about that. I can only tell you it is what I look for, variances in price and volume compared to averages. It closed at .013, and saw a new 52 week low at .012, (that, I like seeing too). I am not going to go into a long blah blah blah about volume, suffice to say today's volume was higher than usual.

O/S : State the number of shares outstanding of each of the issuer's classes of common equity, as of the latest practicable date: Common Stock, no par value, 62,841,014 shares issued and outstanding as of May 11, 2006.
(Not a bad O/S, i like them under 250M)

Recent News : http://finance.yahoo.com/q/h?s=UDTT.OB

Based on its recent price and volume behavior I like it to go lower before recovering or running. However, it is in a very volatile sector right now, e.i. SECURITY. With last weeks foiled terrost plot it might not go lower than the .012. Just looking at its headlines they commented on the terrost plot this morning, I didn't read it, you should. If you find or found bottom, then this will work out fine for the short term ONLY, maybe 2 or 3 times it's current price, if it has great news and a run. If you hold it past there, they better be free shares.

Hit and closed at that .012 52 week low today. I am going to continue to watch for a quick take down to lower prices, (maybe .01 area), and a quick recovery from those prices, (intraday). Volumes and price behavior are signalling for a reversal soon. Still not convinced that is oversold enough. I'll wait to see. might cost me a play, but I would rather error on the side of caution than buy something in haste. It has been my expereince when I buy because I am afraid it will go higher and leave me behind, I could have waited and got in at a discount.

Universal Detection Technology Commences Work on Smart Ticket Assay Based on Technology Developed by NASA's JPL
Wednesday September 13, 7:00 am ET

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTC BB:UDTT.OB - News) (FWB:PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced that it has commenced work on developing a smart ticket assay for detection of Anthrax spores based on technology developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL). The intellectual property was licensed by the Company from the California Institute of Technology in February of 2006.

Smart Ticket assays are rapid field tests that are similar in format to common home pregnancy tests. They can be used by specially trained first responders such as a Haz-Mat Teams to test for Anthrax quickly. Current methods commercially available require at least 10,000 spores to show a positive result, while a dosage of 2,500 spores is enough to cause an infection. UDT's Smart Ticket will be sensitive enough to identify the presence of 10 spores in a given sample.

Once a suspicious powder is added to the UDT Smart Ticket Assay it is drawn on to the test strip by capillary action. If Anthrax spores are present, they bind to the species-specific antibodies in the assay. Dipicolinic Acid (DPA), a molecule unique to bacterial spores, is released from spores present in the bound sample at which time the DPA combines with Terbium (Tb) ions present on the test strip. When the Tb-DPA complex is excited under UV light it gives off an intense green luminescence that would indicate the presence of Anthrax spores.

``Measuring luminescence intensities against a dark background is much more sensitive than measuring a small change in scattering intensity against a bright background. This is why we believe that the Tb-DPA method coupled to the standard lateral-flow immunoassay for anthrax spore detection will improve the sensitivity by a factor of 1000. This will make the anthrax 'smart ticket' concept sensitive enough for detecting trace quantities of anthrax powder,'' said Amir Ettehadieh, UDTT's Director of Research and Development.

``UDTT's development of the Smart Ticket Assay follows the successful development of the BSM-2000 Anthrax Detection device. We saw a need within the first responder community for a more accurate method to test suspicious powders. Our handheld Smart Ticket Assay will be able to identify Anthrax spores in the minute quantities that would not be detected by methods currently on the market,'' said Universal Detection's CEO, Jacques Tizabi.

Emerging Stock Report: Listening to Early Warnings
via COMTEX

September 15, 2006

Sep 15, 2006 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

In February 2006 about 200 people, including a dozen senators, were evacuated from the Russel Senate Office Building after a sensor indicated that a nerve agent was present. Although the alarm later proved to be false, the dramatic incident served as a jarring reminder of post September 11, 2001 security concerns.

The Emerging Stock Report is initiating coverage on Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats. The company announced today that it is included in the Commercial Service's list of Featured U.S. Exporters (FUSE) in Canada.

Universal Detection Technology is a developer of monitoring technologies, including bio-terrorism detection devices. The company on its own and with development partners is positioned it to capitalize on opportunities related to Homeland Security. For example, the Company, in cooperation with NASA has developed a bio-terror 'smoke' detector that detects certain bio hazard substances.

Universal Detection Technology (UDTT) has licensed a spore detection technology from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and has developed a first of its kind real-time continuous detection device capable of identifying abnormal levels of bacterial spores in the air, an indication of a possible anthrax attack.

The company constantly seeks to license new technologies based on which it can transform cutting edge science into tangible and everyday products. Additionally, the company offers its expert advice to customers with regards to a variety of subjects including post and pre incident planning, bio-terror detection for large events, and drafting customized security plans for customers interested in taking a proactive approach against bio-terrorism.

Universal Detection Technology Publishes Paper on the Threat of Bio-terrorism
Five Years After the Anthrax Attacks of 2001, Are Our Buildings Ready for Bio-terrorism?
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) (FWB:PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bio-terrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that to coincide with the five-year anniversary of the deadly anthrax attacks in the united States, the Company has published a comprehensive paper on the biological threats facing the world and the steps taken to combat this threat. The paper focuses mainly on the vulnerability of buildings to an anthrax threat.

In October 2001, anthrax was sent through the mail and caused five deaths. Furthermore, thirteen others suffered anthrax infections. Today, bio-terrorism continues to be a threat. Recently in Los Angeles, there was a major simulation of an anthrax attack, and President Bush recently announced that in fact, there has been a foiled plot by al Qaeda operatives to produce anthrax. Additionally, no one has been brought to justice for the 2001 attacks and the origin of those deadly anthrax spores remains unknown.

"We have in the past five years continued our development of our Anthrax Detector, the BSM-2000 in conjunction with Caltech and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and have also recently begun to do site detection for bio-threats. Our newly formed consulting division is well positioned to offer public venues and buildings advice about the threat of terrorism with biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons as well as to recommend technologies and protocols for threat reduction and security risk management," said Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's Chief Executive Officer.

To view the paper please visit: http://www.udetection.com/udtt-091506.pdf.

Universal Detection Technology Ships Second Unit of Anthrax Detection System to Repeat Customer
via COMTEX

September 18, 2006

LOS ANGELES, Sept 18, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --

Universal Detection Technology (OTC Bulletin Board: UDTT; FWB: PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that it has shipped the second of two units of its BSM-2000 Anthrax Detector, to a repeat customer pursuant to a purchase order.

In 2003, the demand for bio-terrorism defense products and services was estimated at $4.8 billion. 19% of the current bio-terror market is accounted for by vaccines, biodetection equipment, protective clothing, and respirators. Demand for bioterrorism equipment and services is forecast to grow 16% annually, reaching $10 billion in 2008. The second growing market segment will be biodetection equipment where sales will grow from $345 million in 2003 to $1.9 billion in 2008, equal to a 41% average annual growth rate.

"We are excited and look forward to more widespread interest in BSM-2000 as we approach the 5 year anniversary of the anthrax attacks in the U.S.," said Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's Chief Executive Officer. "Our bio-terror detection units have been developed based on a technology licensed from NASA's JPL and has been used in NASA's Planetary Protection Program. BSM-2000 has been designed to utilize this technology to provide a real time air monitor capable of detecting abnormal levels of bacterial spores, an indication of a possible anthrax attack," he added.

Unbelievable!!!!

We sold one!!!

Honestly though, the problem with this stock is that we probably need a catastrophic event for it to take off. We need an anthrax attack to attract attention. Very sad.

Hopefully the world will notice that preventative measures are needed BEFORE anything bad happens.

LOS ANGELES, Sept 21, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --

Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTC Bulletin Board: UDTT; FWB: PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bio-terrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that it has commenced enhancement of the company's web presence.

The company has signed a cooperation agreement with Net Solutions aimed at optimizing its website, enhancing content, and submitting its site to major search engines.

"We have seen that the vast majority of our company's sales leads are increasingly being generated from our presence on the world-wide-web, as well as articles and features on our Anthrax Detectors," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "For Example, we are the first result of a search on Google for the phrase 'Anthrax detection.' We expect that our collaboration with Net Solutions will increase our search engine ranking and will direct more traffic to our website where information about our bio-terrorism detection technologies and counter-terrorism services is offered. This is especially important in light of our recent sales of our anthrax detectors as we also approach the 5 year anniversary of the deadly anthrax terror attacks on our country," he added.

Universal Detection Tech (OTCBB UDTT) Tuesday's market went down 12.70% to $0.0055 per share, with a total of 3,733,476 shares traded. The company commented on the Pentagon decision to resume the forced vaccination of troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and South Korea. The Vaccination Program was halted in 2005 due to safety concerns but has resumed with the final order from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that found the Anthrax vaccine safe and effective in preventing anthrax disease. According to William Winkenwerder, assistant Secretary of Defense for Health affairs, currently only about 50 percent of troops in high risk areas are vaccinated. He added that the current vaccination rate is inadequate and leaves the troops vulnerable to a potential bioterrorist attack.

Universal Detection Technology engages in the research, development, and marketing of bio-terrorism detection devices in the United States. It offers BSM-2000, which is designed to provide continuous unattended monitoring of airborne bacterial spores in public places with automated alert functionality. The company has technology affiliates agreement with Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for the development of technology for its bio-terrorism detection equipment. It has a strategic alliance with RAE Systems, Inc. and Security Pro USA. The company was incorporated in 1971. It was formerly known as Pollution Research and Control Corporation and changed its name to Universal Detection Technology in 2003. Universal Detection Technology is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.
