Universal Detection Technology (OTC BB: UDTT) should be in view of aggressive investors and day traders as the markets begin trading this morning. Yesterday after the stock markets closed, the company, a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, issued a press release announcing that it has received a firm order from a government of a Western European country for two units of UDTT's BSM-2000 Anthrax Detection Systems.
The company's new sale should have the attention of investors! According to the company, this is the first order by a European government for the purchase of UDTT's bacterial spore monitors, which have been developed in collaboration with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The first unit is expected to be shipped within thirty days and the second unit within sixty days. At the request of the purchasing government, the name of the country and the branch of government are currently being withheld until further notice. The purchasing government is considered a military ally of the United States.
"This sale represents our first sale of the BSM-2000 to a government, and we are very pleased to receive the purchase order for two systems and continue to position our technology for commercial application in the international marketplace," said Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's Chief Executive Officer.
