Where do you get info on options calls, and are there options avail. on small cap stocks? I have two brokers: Fidelity, that is more for investments and Lowtrades, that is for small caps trading. I know that Fidelity has info on options, but I don't want to play the big boys as I learn. Basically, I guess I am wondering if there is a cheap way to play options just to learn the ropes. Thanks And Happy Trading! Ronjer

There are options on small cap stocks, it just depends on what underlying you are looking at. I don't want to advertise in the forums, but I wrote a good book on options, it's actually a step by step trading course showing you how to do your own research, general market knowledge and how to trade. You can get it at: http://www.1stocktradingandinvestingsecrets.com
Also, another great book on options is Kenneth Trester's "The Complete Option Player". This book can be purchased at Amazon.
If you want to paper trade, go to http://www.optionsxpress. They have a nice paper trading program and you will also be able to look up option quotes on small cap stocks.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

I'll try to get you from my home email...I think it is something with my work email filters. P.S. Got your book(course) and made it through a few chapters last night. I like the fact that it is easy to understand. Is there a place where you can see a list of option chains that are available without knowing a specific symbol in advance? I haven't gotten around too much at optionsxpress but I haven't found one yet. Thanks Roger
