I acidently missed my jury duty date cause I've been extremely busy lately! School, two jobs, and trading stocks when setups are there.
I don't want to be fined or get arrested...what should I do???
Should I call them and tell them Im sorry but I got the date wrong?
Or wait to get contacted and say it must have got lost in the mail?
I searched the web to see what the penalties for missing jury duty are...and I found one link...it says some people got fined $2000 or jail for a couple days in massachusettes.
thats the link!....I live in Tampa florida by the way...
So does anyone have experience with missing jurry duty or no somebody that has...and can offer me adivice?

get your pay stubs with your hours and your printed class schedule and take them in and apologise. show 'em you ain't lying. they probably would have released you anyway with that schedule. don't mention the stock trading tho, i've noticed alot of people don't think much of that these days

While the wacko left might think that doing illegal drugs is a good answer to any problem, I do not. I think that you would be far better advised to just call the courthouse and apologize for missing your jury duty and promise to do better next time.
There was an article a few months ago in our local paper about people being sanctioned for failing to appear for jury duty. I would not ignore this issue when a simple phone call will probably fix it.

you shouldn't even have to go if you're a student and work full time, thats bull****. I went one day and just told them I was racist so they sent me home, works everytime, lol. and no, i'm really not racist. =)

Anyways Ace of Spades... don't worry about it... I missed jury duty a couple of times and they have not done anything to me... law enforcement has more pressing issues then someone who misses jury duty... they will not go after you... in time the politicos or whomever might do so for public relations but eventually it's forgotten and goes back to not enforcing the issue... They are not going to waste the County/State's time or money on going after missing jurors unless it's a election year then perhaps they will... but otherwise don't worry about it... they may call you for duty a 2nd time to give ya a chance..
Iv'e never been called for a case (been called for jury duty several times over the years)... i been in a basement of the courthouse with all other potentional jurors for hours and days on end till they dismiss you... never spoke to a lawyer or judge etc. to be selected for a case.... so if you do go bring a nice book to read or two...

Sounds like they must be more lenient in your state.
It appears that Bigfoot's state must be as tough as Ca.
As he suggested to head for Canada.
Trouble is it's as cold in many parts Canada as it is in parts of the US right now, so i would suggest the Vancover area.
Use to be a great deal there, but now the exchange rate isn't as good as it use to be and you have to like soccer more than football.

Yes, I have a lot of fun, but that does not include sitting around in a drug induced stupor. Snowboarding, riding my motorcycle, camping, scuba-diving, mountain biking - those are the things I enjoy. That's certainly a lot more fun that being a druggie!

You guys are ridiculous! Here's the definition of fascism:

To begin with, PM, what you are calling a definition of fascism isn't. It is an absurdly over simplified description of Adolph Hitler's reign in Germany, which had little to do with the fundamental philosophy of the political form or underlying philosophy of that Government, only Hitler's abuses of power. (I hasten to admit I do see very strong resemblances in you and Adolph, though, most particularly with respect to social engineering.)
Moreover, we'll let you know when we can be satisfied with the pitifully inadequate excuses you put forth to try and camouflage your anti-social hatred and egotistical views of human social practices.
Deep down, withing the marrow of your bones, you are a rat (my apologies to that genera, I speak in connotation, not denotation or scientific reality), while clearly, on the surface, you are best thought of as an emotional and intellectual fool.
