I bought 1500 shares of csuh, and the order executed at 4:00:22, how can my order go through afterhours when its only valid market hours?

sounds like the system recognized it as valid, but required a minute, 22 seconds to muster the notice back to you...

Yeah what Tex said... because it came back to you at 4:00 and 22 seconds does not mean it was executed at that time. Also you have to remember that when you enter a order that your not the only one waiting on line to get filled.
