The situation is as follows. I'm tired of buying dog stocks. I want to concentrate on certain companies that swing every 3-5 days,,and also hold some that are more in the 30-90 day swing range. Not interested in Day Trading per say. I can interpret charts to some degree. Do you generally follow certain business sectors to find stocks of interest? Where do you look for the companies to follow to start with? Wall Street Journal? Are there certain websites? I've gotten some great info off this board but sometimes I can't get in on the ground floor quick enough because the actin has started by the time I read the post. How about the ticker on CNBC? That seems to work if a stock is moving up during pre trade I've sometimes been able to ride for the day. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

trade big board stocks... look in financial newspapers or websites to see what sectors are doing good lately... such as when gold and oil were/are doing good... then look for companies in those sectors... in uptrends... and such.. etc. etc.. i like this site www.bigcharts.com
