I use e-trade, anyone know how exactly I go about seeing if the last trade was a buy or a sell and how many shares were traded on the buy or sell?

Also, I tried this site: http://www.**********.com/swnet/utilit/utilit_snapsh_result.aspx

got these numbers:

Recent Trades - Last 10
Time Ex Price Change Volume
09:47:37 Q 0.10 -0.01 5,000

09:47:37 Q 0.095 -0.015 5,000

09:47:30 Q 0.09 -0.02 24,000

09:47:27 Q 0.09 -0.02 1,700

09:47:24 Q 0.095 -0.015 3,300

09:47:18 Q 0.10 -0.01 25,000

09:47:15 Q 0.10 -0.01 50,000

09:47:15 Q 0.095 -0.015 50,000

09:46:22 Q 0.095 -0.015 10,000

09:46:22 Q 0.097 -0.013 750

It tells me how many shares were traded and I can sort of assume that if the price went up then the trade must have been a "buy"... Is that right?

I also use etrade, download their trading platform called Etrade Pro, it has interactive charts all the indicators and free level II quotes, on the level II screen their is time and sale, which will show buys, sells, what time they occured and how many shares.

Grande, if you want to know whether a trade is a buy or a sell, you have to open a level two window and a last sale window..
Watch both..
Trades at the ask are buys, trades at the bid are sells.
That's about the only way I know of.
