I am a newbie at this and was wondering what type of buy order should I place when the stock is flying or getting ready to explode...market or limit? if limit..at the current price, bid, or ask? any help woyld be appreciated, thanks.

don't do market--too many surprises. Start at buy and work your way up, depending how bad ya wany it...but don't chase a runnner.
