Has anyone got 100 free trades from Etrade. I thought of opening an Etrade account just to get the 100 free trades and later canceling if this is true. This would be 500 dollars savings of free commission.

as long as you use the trades in the first month, and remain a customer for 3 or 6 months you will get the free trades. You will get the free trades on the second month, but if you cancel your account within the required time limit they will charge you the 9.99 for all trades made.
Hope this helps.
