Can anyone help me out. In my cash account, i had 3600, and margin was 7200. Well i bought a stock with the entire margin, and i sold with a 1200 gain. Well when i looked in my account, it said my cash was (3500) and total value was (2900). Im with choicetrade.
Now the question is this, shouldnt my gains be showed immediately? Or would i have to wait until the next so the system updates itself?
Please help!

don't know yours, but mine often updates overnight. Assuming this happened today, just call em in the morning or e-mail tonight. Might dave pertinent screen shots, cusips, etc...can't hurt in case there's a dispute...

cb, don't do margins--I'm a gambler so margins not the strategy for me
But, yeah, I find my broker often "behind the curve," especially on splits. Mine updates overnight, so what I think is wrong gets corrected the next day.
HOWEVER, I also bought HISC at great price a few months ago and went to sell for a double, but they "lost" the trade.
That's why I say record your screen shots, CUSIPs, etc....
