what does it mean by "uptick" and is it an option on microcap?

Any increase in the pps of a stock, no matter how small or large. PPS is price per share.

Just like Wallace said..

If shares are trading at 0.20 and then there's a trade at 0.21 that's an uptick. On microcap you'll see a green arrown next to that trade.

Upticks usually are watched not only for profit but also because its a rule when you want to short a stock.. your not allowed to short a stock till it upticks ...

hey, thanks for the replies, i keep seeing upticks and thought that was a "signal" but it just means the price going up, duh. lol, thanks y'all!
