First of all I wanted to say thank you to all of you that have provided me some nice info. So THANKS! Anyway, I am trying to get into Day Trading and was curious how many of you on here actually Day Trade for a living and what might be a reasonable startup amount and First Year Income to expect if being smart and doing research like all of you obviously do? I sell mortgages for a living so I figured this may be a good transition for me. Any suggestions or comments are GREATLY Appreciated!

Thanks!

First suggestion is dont daytrade... at least not till you have a sufficient amount of trading experience.. if i were you i would start with swingtrading (buy, hold and sell stocks between 2 to 7 days and up to 3 months)... daytrading requires about minimum of $25,000 of capital plus you have to pretty much do it 9 to 4 monday thru friday... dont trade in stocks below $1 a share... i trade in stocks between $1 and $1.50 per share... also im a technical analyst as opposed to a fundamental analyst like Big T ... below are suggestions to get into swingtrading (yes you can make just as much in swing as in daytrading and not require so much capital and time)...

Books: A Beginner's Guide to Short-Term Trading by Toni Turner (www.toniturner.com)

Thanks for the information. I think I will grab these books and read them. So I can simply get into the swing trading, and make just as much money and spend less time in front of the PC. I assume you are saying between $1 - $1.50 prices because they have a far less greater chance of price dropping to 0?

Thanks!
