Im real new to this game but I was wondering what the different forms are that companies file, which ones are good numbers and which are bad ones, and I guess which ones are not important???

Reporting Companies are required to file different forms for any change in thier companys situation(change of directors, insider buy/sell of stock, moving into/outof a new area of business)etc. The most common is Financial reports. These generally apply only to the large exchanges, not OTCBB,Pink,Canadian. An "e" will appear behind a Nasdaq stock if a report is late.
Run a GOOGLE on stock symbol descriptions and you should find a list, EDGAR may also have one.
