AFTC .04
(AFTC.PK) Supplies DME Products to The Korea Institute of Energy Research

NOTE TO EDITORS: The Following Is an Investment Opinion Being Issued by the IONewsWire.
NEW YORK, NY, Jul 09, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AFTC) today announced it has sold another 4 DME feed pumps to the Korea Institute of Energy Research, which is a South Korean Government Agency. The total purchased by the KIER is now 10.
With more then 5.8 million diesel engines currently registered in Korea alone, the growth potential into Asia is still in its infancy. DME production in China has quadrupled from 2006 to 2007 and expected to steadily increase in the coming years.

When the entire chain is taken into account, DME from feedstock is the most efficient fuel, and can be up to five times more efficient then standard diesel. This has been realized by companies such as Volvo, Peugeot, and Renault who are all making an aggressive push into the DME market.

Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. is a research & development organization engaged in the design, development and prototype manufacturing of advanced fuel systems for use with a new alternative fuel -- Dimethyl Ether (DME).

Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. Announces Test Project with US Army

REDFORD, Mich., Oct. 14, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets:AFTC) is pleased to announce that it has received a Phase 1 SBIR1 from the United States Army to assess the acceptability of running jet fuel (JP-8) in a very high pressure (30,000 psi) diesel fuel injection system. The project and option involve durability testing a high pressure fuel system for 500 hrs and assessing the wear of critical parts. Once assessed, a phase 2 proposal will be submitted to redesign the pump to reduce wear and build and test a prototype. Only AFT is eligible to participate in phase II.

Phase 1 + Option (Phase 2 proposal) is valued at $120,000. The durability test is now running and will be completed in about 30 days.
Phase 2 is valued at $500,000. AFT’s proven DME pump “low wear” technology will be incorporated into the phase 2 design—if the Army proceeds and we believe that this is likely.

Check out this report that came out today!!!!
*** AFTC Has Proven Alternative Fuel Technologies! ***Saturday, July 18, 2009 6:22 PM

It's a fact. The energy sector could be one of the best marketplaces to be in for the foreseeable future.

And, that's just one of the many reasons I like Alternative Fuel Technologies, Inc. (OTCPK: AFTC), my new pick which is a current sub 10-cent Alternative Energy Fuel play with PROVEN technologies.

Billions are being poured into this sector from all types of sources...including retail investors and fund managers...because the technology solutions that address this global issue are in HUGE demand. And that demand is strong from both the private and government sectors all over the world, especially in the economic booming regions in Asia.

So, if you're going to consider a Company that is not the bulletin board category, then I believe it should be one that

has a leading-edge, proven technology with market acceptance

has in-demand technologies by landing contracts with established companies and the military

its filings are current and up to date

And, AFTC fits these criteria. In fact, I've had investors mistake this symbol for a bulletin board because it truly fits that caliber of an organization.

-------------------------------------------------

Now let's take a look at who runs this accomplished Company – President & CEO, Jim McCandless . Here's a snapshot of what this dream team leader has done outside of AFTC.

Managed 400 Engineers-$50 million Budget for Navistar Engine & Foundry Div!

Developed the “Ford Powerstroke Diesel & “CAT” HEUI Injector!

Managed 150 engineers & budget of $10 million for International Harvester Co.!

Designed the 6.9L engine for Ford wherein 2 million engines were produced!

Over 12 US Patents Awarded

Sounds like the type of individual that I'd like to have running any business that I owned within the Alternative Energy Space.

But let's face it....there are dozens of Alternative Energy Fuel companies that investors could consider. What has this company done that stands out from the other development stage firms that are still tinkering with their technology?

AFTC's Top Technology Milestones

#1. Invented and developed advanced fuel injection system for Dimethyl Ether (DME)
The advanced system enables fuel to eficiently burn this new, ultra-clean alternative fuel that dramatically decreases emissions.

#2. Designed a “production intent” common rail fuel injection system
This system has 30% fewer parts and develops higher pressures with integral inlet throttlw valve.

#3. Developed compact DME feed pump to transfer fuel from the engine's tank to injection system
With more then 5.8 million diesel engines currently registered in Korea alone, the growth potential into Asia is still in its infancy. DME production in China has quadrupled from 2006 to 2007 and expected to steadily increase in the coming years.

Overall, When everything is taken into account, DME from feedstock is possibly the most efficient fuel, and can be up to five times more efficient then standard diesel. This has been realized by companies such as Volvo , Peugeot , and Renault who are all making an aggressive push into the DME market. That's a huge testimonial to the credibility of this alternative fuel technology.
And let's not forget the fact that this technology could also save millions annually for the Army alone – which runs largely on diesel fuel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -

Alternative Fuel Technologies, Inc. (OTCPK: AFTC) is now getting lots of exposure within the financial community and has the chance to do very well in the markets next week.

The stock is on an uptrend so keep a close eye on AFTC and what it could potentially do to increase the value of investors portfolios!

Sincerely,
LiquidTycoon.com

News out!!!
Alternative Fuel Technology Successfully Completes Phase 1 SBIR Report
Army Asks for Proposal for SBIR in Consideration of Phase II Award
REDFORD, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 07/21/09 -- Alternative Fuel Technology Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AFTC) is proud to announce the Company has successfully completed a Phase 1 SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) project and has submitted a draft final report. This project involved accelerated testing and analysis of a high pressure fuel injection pump running on JP-8 jet fuel. The Army has a policy to use a single fuel (JP-8) for all of their "vehicles" and engine powered equipment, including turbine powered tanks, helicopters, trucks, HUMVEES, generators, etc.

AFTC test results show that the pump suffered high wear in a short period of time because of the fuel characteristics.

CEO Mr. McAndless states, " The Army is pleased with our work on this project and has invited us to make a proposal to resolve the wear problems. This proposal is valued up to $730,000."

AFTC received the following comments from the Army: "I'm writing about your Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract # W56HZV09C0123, awarded 1/20/2009, under the DOD SBIR Program, Topic # A08-128, Proposal Title: JP-8 Fuel Effects on High Pressure Common Rail Pumps." The statement from the Army goes on to state, "Based on our assessment of the progress and potential of your Phase I work, you hereby are invited to submit a proposal for consideration of a possible Phase II SBIR award."

According to the Army, "Phase II proposals submitted in response to this invitation normally involve a performance period of up to 24 months, and are eligible for up to $730,000 in funding." "Your Phase II proposal will be subjected to a technical review process similar to the one that was used in selecting and awarding your Phase I proposal." "Your proposal will be reviewed for overall merit and evaluated based upon the criteria set forth in Section 4.3 of the DOD Program Solicitation (SBIR Solicitation 2008.2)." "Selections for Phase II awards are scheduled to be made 60-75 days after proposal receipt." "We plan to award Phase II contracts no later than 6 months after proposal receipt."

On July 19 AFTC submitted a detailed proposal to resolve the wear problem using technology developed for our DME fuel injection system.
