BSI2000 Engages Transition Partners and Announces Homeland Security Sale Monday June 12, 12:22 pm ET
DENVER, June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BSI2000, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSIO - News), a developer of high-end security systems for commercial and governmental use, today announced that it has engaged Transition Partners Limited of Boulder, Colorado to provide analysis and advice to the Board of Directors regarding possible financing or other strategic alternatives that may include sale or merger of the Company.
In addition, BSI2000 is happy to announce that it sold and delivered a VERUS2000(TM) Green Card Authentication System to a western state Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This was the first sale of the VERUS2000 product.
The system was delivered and installed at a large DMV office and has been in use every day for some weeks now. BSI2000 understands that the system is functioning very well and is detecting and flagging all counterfeit Green Cards when they are presented to the DMV.
Jack Harper, CEO of BSI2000, said, "We are very pleased to successfully deliver the first VERUS2000 system to the DMV to help in the fight to stop fraudulent/counterfeit Green Cards from being used as so-called 'breeder documents' that spawn authentic documentation. Fraudulent Green Cards are a major problem in this country and it is clear to me that BSI2000 is leading the way to help stop terrorists from gaining legitimate-appearing access into the United States by this method. It is scary to realize that people can walk into unprotected DMV offices with counterfeit Green Cards and walk out with perfectly valid drivers licenses that will get them onto airplanes anywhere in the country. There really is a lot at stake. It is great to install our very first VERUS2000 system and to have it accepted and paid for after a long period of complex R&D over several years. I look forward, hopefully, to many additional sales as the product is proven in actual use on the ground."
The base ideas that drive the VERUS2000 system were developed by Kevin Wilson, Ph.D., Director of Technology for BSI2000.
Information on the VERUS2000 Green Card authentication system can be found on the web at http://www.bsi2000.com/verus2000.htm . The Company believes that certain key facets of the VERUS2000 system are protected by previously filed patent applications that involve advanced electrooptics and
