Since lot of us have questions about PAIM preferred shares, thought of starting a new thread for this, because it is very difficult to go through the other thread to find info. on preferred shares. Anyone had luck converting the preferred shares? My TDA account doesn't even show a symbol for the preferred although it shows the correct quantity. I read somewhere the symbol is PAIMPR but current it is not showing that way

I have preferred to billions, what do i do with these babies. can i convert them? too busy to figure this out?

i bought 2M pre CD exchange and now I have 20B preferred. i think the ratio was 1:10000, so for every common share you should have receibed 10000 preferred shares. So for 1M common you should have received 10B not 1B preferred

i am sorry i messed up. sure it is 1:1000 not 1:10000. Do you have a symbol showing up for the preferred? I am with TDA and I don't see a symbol yet. When I called ameritrade CS, they told me that the symbol is not assigned yet and I have to wait until that happens before I am able to sell them. Did others hear the same thing? Anyone have TDA or any other brokerage account that shows a ticker symbol for this?

B4 the mess.. I had 500000 shares...... after the mess.... I had 50000 tradeable shares in TDAMTD I did trade those today..... so I was supposed to have 4500000 shares remaining that were IN THE CD.... But MY CD only shows 450 Shares...... I did read the new release from PAIM today.....AND they are confused on it..... They say different things so I am confused ?!?!?! Cant tell whats up .... It looks like I lose 90% of my 450000 shares that I actually did owned .... TDAMTD shows they will be available in the year 2011

I didnt know that you could buy preferred shared through an online broker.... We can only buy common shares online... Correct me if i am wrong.... You cant decide which you choose to buy... If you trade online .. u buy common only
