HOUSTON, TX, Jun 05, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Empyrean Holdings Inc. (EPYH) is pleased to report the appointment of William (Bill) Melchiori to the Board of Directors with immediate effect. Mr. Melchiori will also serve as Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for a financial services subsidiary that the company intends to set up in the near future.
A veteran of the US Air Force, Mr. Melchiori obtained his B.A. degree in accounting from Golden Gate University in 1976. He has had many years of diversified experience as an accountant, finance executive and CFO of several companies in the West Coast. In 1992 he was a major player in the purchase of Fetzer Vineyards by Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned companies in the wine and spirits business.
Since 1996, Mr. Melchiori has been the owner/operator of Arrow Financial Services that served a wide variety of clients in the San Francisco Bay area and several other states.
CEO Robert L. Lee stated, "It is indeed a breakthrough for Empyrean Holdings to be able to obtain the services of Bill Melchiori at a time when the company is consolidating its affiliation with United Construction Group (UCG) and considering diversification into the financial services industry."
