love the analogy Bearclaw! I would prefer UBSS and Goldman Sachs making purchases, always makes me feel better to see the real strong investment firms purchasing the same stock I am.

More power to whatever everyone decides. All I will say is MM's are loading up for a reason. Daytraders are gone for the most part right now I would say with the shake yesterday. What's left is the actual investors in CNES and MM's. GLTA

Gator... They sure have...I think a lot of folks who sold this week are waiting to get back in or the daytraders have moved on and are keeping this on their watch list...Obviously somethings ready to happen...plus the bashholes are showing up on the blogs...Always a good sign...

HEY RCA - Go post where somebody cares about IVOC get lost. Dayton, Oh is in a depression right now which is where your stock is and you. Go get a cup of coffee and a new hobby - do yourself and your family a favor and stop trying to be a daytrader - because your abilities to trade start with an SSSSSSS and end with UCK at this. Have a great day!

Alek2, I would like that PM you sent out when you have some time please send it.
I was looking at those two pics you linked and while they do look quite similar it migh be risky to speculate its from CNES. Think about your current meter what does it look like? We probably all have meters that look the same for the most part but I doubt we all have meters made by the same company. My guess is there will be a standardized design that all AMR manufactuerers will use and they won't look that different.
Anyone want to go to Burkmeister house and see if the CNES logo is on his meter?

Ok, I have spoken to a couple of people from Valencia and Merced, they are pretty tight lipped because when they signed up for the pilot, they were told not to release any information. When I mentioned Conectisys, and PG&E, one guy started laughing. He says to me, where do you guys find this out. He then abruptly hung up, looks like they have been getting a few calls. Also, this guy here, on this page from Merced, Robert Birkmaier, is shown in a picture next to his house with the meter. To tell you the truth, it looks exactly like the one that I see on the Conectisys site. I still have not gotten anything written in stone saying that it is conectisys, but signs are so far pointing to yes as the pilot program using radio waves and AMR technology.
Personally, I will probably buy up as much as I can tomorrow if it goes any lower, if it goes higher, I would think about it, but definately, if it comes down agian, i will buy as much as I can until I hear definate news.

If I lived in California, let alone the USA, I would be at his house already....
Don't just look at the meter, but the base station next to it. I don't know if this is CNES technology at work here, but it sure looks like it. I am still trying to get a hold of some other poeple to confirm.

Hey Sonic - I don't need a spammer on this board - he needs to go to the main frame. These guys do it all the time so I don't need a lecture from you. OK! No hard feelings to you, but if someone is going to ignorantly post on the wrong thread intentionally then I'm going to give them down the road!

this is a different stock, but on topic... ABTG, ambient corp., they do BPL, broadband over powerlines, this will enable the same thing that these AMR meters do, monitor time of day, and demand metering, as well probelms not only outages to a cutomer but to the system as well, besides bringing internet over the powerlines, they have a pilot program in westchester, ny with con ed, Consolidated Edison, Inc. is one of the nation's largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $12 billion in annual revenues and $25 billion in assets. That's another generation of technology that's getting older...If it's over the power lines then when the power goes out so does their system...CNES is heads above that technology IMO...

yes, but this is a pilot in westchester, if this is used system wide for example in new york city where majority of their system is underground and there are multiple feeders that service each network, there are hardly any outages beside blackouts, and if there is a blackout, no need to read the meter anyway

Understood...but never the less it's still an inferior technology...There ios room nationwide for different AMR's in different locations...I'm talking only about the technoology... Wireless vs. BPL

why would you want to install something now that will need to be replaced in another few years? ConEd is in other places too, not just in NYC and not everything in their system is underground. Why go with something inferior at the start?

con ed is just nyc and westchester, the county above and subsidiary owned by them in two other counties, all of manhattan for example is underground, and most of brooklyn, queens, and the bronx.

Con Ed also owns other utility firms, like Orange and Rockland that service all sorts of areas. Those are NOT underground.
