Again because in years past we had to delete older messages to make room on the server. Still plenty of room on this one!

If I added my old user name that got messed up I might even have came close to Keithsan, lol. Its been two years this month on here. Wow
We had a lot of good posters started around this time 2004. Lil, Reality, Gator, Keithsan, just to name a few (whatever happened to oilman?). That was the great time for us with PGHI/GZFX run the QBID. OF course had our AFRR/AFRT wish we didn't play too along with USCI. Wish I could send myself a message back to Jan. 2004. Be retired on my private island right now, lol.

That's right, and people who smoke start to smell bad. If you can make it 3 days you can make it 3 weeks, 3 months, and so on. And remember, second hand smoke is legal. GLTY, you can do it!!

just saw sumpin on TV this morning, about some new study supposedly showing 5 weeks is a magic number to replace an old habit with a new one...
For instance, this was specifically about diet & exercise: first week, clear out refrigerator and pantry; what you can't reasonable prepare, toss it unless it's healthy...
second week: re-stock, only healthy food
third week: start exercising, lightly, like walking, biking, etc
fourth: weight training
and so on...
applies here also, cuz certain foods/beverages set up tobacco cravings
What you want is to move to an alkaline body chemistry

Makes sense, a key componant to breaking an unhealthy habit is to replace it with something healthy. I've known people who chew sunflower seeds to replace chewing tobacco. Deep breathing when you crave a cig helps because part of what makes having a cig relaxing is taking deep breaths to draw in the smoke. And exercise is a must to help avoid that initial weight gain.
