I'll agree on your chart reading except for this.....

"it is slightly overbought"

Look at this chart....Tell me we are not getting OVERSOLD.

FUTURES MOVERS
Global unrest sends oil atop $63
Natural-gas prices bounce off a one-year low
E-mail | Print | | Disable live quotes By Myra P. Saefong, MarketWatch
Last Update: 3:31 PM ET Mar 2, 2006

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures closed above $63 a barrel Thursday for the first time in three weeks as more turmoil in the Middle East renewed anxiety about output from the world's key oil producers.
News of a bombing in Pakistan contributed to the oil market's anxiety, helping oil prices to log their third winning day in row.
Even though the blast in Karachi was not aimed at oil infrastructure, it took place two days before President Bush is set to visit the country. The BBC reported that the explosion killed at least four people, including a U.S. diplomat.
The bombing added another concern to a list that includes violence in Nigeria, resumption of Iran's nuclear-research program and an attempted attack on a major oil facility in Saudi Arabia last week.
Crude futures for April delivery rose $1.39 to close at $63.36 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange -- its loftiest closing level since Feb. 9. The contract peaked at $63.55 for the session. See April crude chart.
Among the petroleum products, April unleaded gasoline tacked on 7.01 cents, or 4.3%, to close at $1.6925 a gallon, and April heating oil climbed 5.83 cents, or 3.3%, to end at $1.8049 a gallon.
The gains in oil prices came despite an increase in last week's U.S. crude supplies. On Wednesday, the Energy Department said crude inventories rose 1.6 million barrels for the week ended Feb. 24 to total 328.3 million.
That total is more than 9% above the year-ago level, and supplies have been climbing for three weeks, according to the government data. See full story.
"Obviously, higher prices are the market's declaration that despite growing inventories, any disruption could use them up quickly," said Michael Fitzpatrick, an analyst at Fimat USA.
"These larger concerns, those that potentially threaten supply, are still with us and will be for a long time," he said in a note to clients.
Iran has reportedly said that, even if a deal is struck with the Russians, Tehran will not back away from the effort to enrich uranium at home, he said.
In Nigeria, a militant group released six of its nine hostages, according to news reports.
Edmund Daukoru, the Nigerian oil minister who's also president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, has suggested that $60 is a "fair" level for oil prices and that the market won't become alarmed unless prices hit $70, according to Fitzpatrick.
OPEC members meet Wednesday to discuss possible changes to the cartel's current oil-production quota of 28 million barrels per day.
Gas bounces off low
Natural-gas futures touched their lowest level in a year Thursday, then rebounded to close higher after a government report showed that supplies dropped more than expected but remained above average levels near the end of the winter season.
"With March being the last month of serious withdrawals, we are expected to end the season at record levels," said Agbeli Ameko, a managing partner at First Enercast Financial.
Even so, "traders realize that this excess storage could be sorely needed this summer as another record hurricane season is expected," he said. That's "provided some basic level of support to keep natural gas above $6."
April natural gas climbed 2.7 cents to close at $6.76 per British thermal units, reversing course from an earlier retreat to $6.54, a level not seen since early March of last year. See April natural-gas chart.
U.S. natural-gas inventories fell by 171 billion cubic feet for the week ended Feb. 24, the Energy Department reported earlier Thursday.
Analysts at Global Insight had expected a decline of 144 billion cubic feet. IFR Markets had been looking for a decrease of 125 billion to 135 billion cubic feet.
The latest decline was "not enough to significantly roil natural-gas markets," said Rakesh Shankar, an economist at Moody's Economy.com. "The recent cold snap seems more like the last hurrah for Old Man Winter, and, with barely a few weeks left in the winter season, inventories for natural gas remain in near-record territory."
All the same, "over 16% of natural-gas production along the Gulf [of Mexico] remains stubbornly shut in," he said. This, along with the destruction of exploration and drilling rigs in the Gulf in last year's hurricanes, "will limit replenishment capacity," helping keep natural-gas prices above last year's levels.
Total supplies now stand at 1.972 trillion cubic feet, up by 344 billion cubic feet from a year ago and by 641 billion cubic feet above the five-year average, the government data said.

Getting excited, I agree with bond the next two weeks should be really interesting...Once one PR comes out, I believe it will be followed by a series of others..Instead of waiting for a week or soo per PR we might get one every other day for about a week or two!!!

So much to talk about, and once they can do so, they will definitely lets us know. Its not their intentions to keep us in the dark...

As for the chart, my prediction is tomm will def be sideways, if it is down a little we will see green on tuesday, if not we will be sideways again....I think thurs we will start to see some movement, based on the 30 day time frame on the "quiet" period....IMHO

Im locked and loaded for the ride up!!!!! GO PBLS GO!!! [Smile]

Re post thinking about the value od the sand and gravel pit

Posted by: Waverider110
In reply to: None Date:3/5/2006 10:40:37 PM
Post #of 12537

My latest take on MS&G:

I previously had reason to believe that PBLS net profit from product sales at MS&G was only 5% to 15% of the gross sales. I can prove why from 2005 PR's, but I may have been wrong in concluding such a low profit margin.

Read the following from the PBLS.biz website and my analysis that follows:
**********************************************************
"...Murphy Sand & Gravel (MS&G)in Pearl River, LA is an 820 acre operational mining site with enough raw materials (aggregate and sand product) to support an estimated 20+ years of continuous mining at profitable levels. Reserves are estimated at $180,000,00 to $300,000,000.

This type of mined product supplies the concrete manufacturing and building materials industries and is also an integral component of the road and highway construction industry, supplying the latter with a steady stream of the base materials needed to build new roads and improve old ones. In an effort to increase its output capability, MS&G has added some new contract miners to fully develop this location.

Currently, MS&G sells into the local Southern Louisiana and Mississippi areas, but is expanding its sales regionally into the greater Southeastern area of the country as construction activity increases. Now and into the future, Murphy Sand & Gravel is and will be the cornerstone of the "Phoenix Family of Companies".

# Highly Valued Products

* Management estimates that the minerals contained in the Sand & Gravel Lease have a market value of $260 million with an additional $40 million in soil products. With the proper contractors, the Company forecasts its potential mining and sales capability at between $4 to $8 million per year. According to industry reports, demand for gravel, sand and soil products is projected to remain strong for the immediately foreseeable future...."
****************************************************************

Here are my thoughts.

As introduced above, MS&G has an estimated $180,000,00 to $300,000,000 in reserves that previously was thought would last up to 20 years.

But Paul Alonzo said to shareholders who visited this week that with new contractors being added on the scale of US Soils, the pit might be depleted in 4 years more or less.

Finally, the last paragraph above says that "with proper contractors" PBLS forecasts potential mining and sales capability at between $4 to $8 million per year. Now I was previously thinking that PBLS would only net 5% to 15% of those numbers- gross sales numbers- with the lion's share going to Mike and US Soils and others who are doing the work of extraction and transporting it.

BUT WAIT A MINUTE. $4M TO $8 MILLION PER YEAR IN GROSS SALES WITH THE PROPER 8 CONTRACTORS WORKING THE MINE WOULD NOT ADD UP TO $180M TO $300M IN PRODUCT RESERVES EXTRACTED AFTER JUST 4 YEARS OR SO!

NO, THE 4 TO 8 MILLION DOLLARS MUST BE PBLS NET ON MUCH GREATER GROSS SALES. HOW ELSE WOULD PAUL BE SPECULATING THAT THE MINE WILL RUN LOW IN 4 OR 5 YEARS OR LESS?(Assuming over $200 worth of reserves)

"Above are academic comments for discussion only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any stock or security. Past performance may not be indicative of a darn thing in the future."

Our system posted a BUY CONFIRMED today. The previous SELL recommendation was issued on 03.01.2006 (5) days ago, when the stock price was 0.0250. Since then PBLS has fallen -8.00% .

BUY-IF is confirmed by a white candlestick with a lower open and a higher close. The buying price is the previous close ( 0.0225 ) according to the Rules of Confirmation.
