Precise...I would say the number one factor that affects the NAZ is emotion. You will always hear people saying to avoid emotion when investing, but that's really what drives the market.

Take a look at some of the longer threads on this board, and you will see those emotions in play. (no offense, QBIDians) I'd start with the QBID thread.

Speculation drives the markets that's why you have P/E's that are out of this world and Bubbles that burst...Speculation most of the time is exactly that Speculative

preciserm. There is alot of different veiws about the Nadaq among investors. I'll give you a few websites that you could veiw too help you out a bit. Nasdaq are alot more volotile due to because they are electronic trades on all nasdaq listed stocks. There is NO specialist that could put the trades threw for you like there is on the NYSE. T/A is used alot on nasdaq stocks but funtalmentals is your key there.

How many sells are preceded by the words, "Aw crap! Crap! Crap! CRAP!"?

You can use charts all you want to find your entry and exit. But many people won't actually stick to those points once the news starts rolling in, the market reacts, and the market makers start their shakedowns, etc. I agree, emotion is a HUGE factor.

The only way to avoid emotion as a factor is to use an automated system of trading based on charts and numbers.
