I'm hoping it hits .017 tomorrow, then pullback, might just settle above .014 if there is another dip before news in a few weeks.

George, I had GTE in my IRA and it was a dog for a long time and then last October it finally got it going. If I have your success I may go for the Boob job instead [Roll Eyes] (sorry ladies, that's just the way it is....) [Wink] Just kidding Honey if you read this [Cool]

I agree that the CC deal is only a very small piece of the puzzle. Personally, i don't like CC. We have a BB and a CC across the street from each other and BB does 20x the business of CC, but it is just another way of getting their name out there and the Fool article didn't hurt either. Any pub is good pub at this stage.

I worked at Circuit City for 4 years. I think your point is incorrect. DTV hit when I worked there a very long time ago. It was huge then and they're still around and they're still huge and in CC stores! That's what I call success... All those cell phone companies are still around too. Pacific Bell is now Cingular, Sprint, Verizon... They're successful. TIVO made big money. Best Buy helped make Netflix what it is today. I don't see your point at all. I don't see how you can not see a possibility of huge growth here. I'm not saying it will happen, but that is just looking at the glass half empty for sure.

If anyone sells anytime before the "PR" date...they will not be able to get back in at the lower price. A chance... but VERY risky! Also, if the CC does happen....it may never see 0.15 for a LONG time. Especially if GZFX plays their cards right! With xbox360, psp, ps3 alone...and perhaps some extra advertising or xtra partnerships....it can begin to put its name on the map of video/game rentals... out to the public...to take a market share from BB and NFLX. I'm looking forward to the new site!!

Either way....I think GZFX has begun to get its name out, that IF the CC deal did not happpen. It is in good shape to continue to grow, although it may quickly drop in PPS....it has a good start for the future.

One thing I have not figured out or am not sure about the proposed CC & GZFX rollout. If it does happen....what indeed will happen. Will this simply mean that CC will sell membership CD's like they currently do at the trial stores, gift certs. / gift cards.... I.E. nflx ala BB stores? Does this include setting up kiosks at every CC, the the trial stores? Either way..it will be good, BB has the NFLX cards when you first walk in the store. Imagine what a GZFX kiosk would do by the video game / electronic section?????????????

I'm sure the logistics would later be revealed, but just curious if anyone had an idea.

I think it means CC will advertise in all their stores instead of just the trial stores. I am a bit concernced b/c I am a shareholder of gzfx, cancelled netflix to join gzfx but gzfx is sooooo much slower then netflix...I sent 2 movies back last week and they still dont show theyve received them yet. Anyone else have the same problems?

I am not talking about the hardware sells, that will always be around. I am talking about the add-on service sells. They may always be there but they are not pushed equally all the time. They are pushed basedon which is going to generate the most and quickest margin. You can walk into any CC store today and buy a Directv receiver without talking to anyone and go home and activate it. But if there is a current SPIFF program on selling Directv Service then someone is going to be there pushing it. My examples were not exactly like the GZFX program because they involve hardware sells also, GZFX would be more comparable to picking up an HIghspeed internet disk from CC to go home and start an account, is that pushed everyday at CC, no, but if CC Corp works out that that is the deal they want to push then they spiff it. Other programs that would be the same are Napster, GetDigital, ZIffDavis, Vonage. How many times have you walked into CC and someone approched you on service? Only if the sales guy is getting spiffed.

Spiff
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Jump to: navigation, search
A spiff is a small, immediate bonus for a sale. Typically, "spiffs" are paid, either by a manufacturer or employer, directly to a salesperson for selling a specific product.

There is a reference to a spiff in a slang dictionary of 1859: "The percentage allowed by drapers to their young men when they effect sale of old fashioned or undesirable stock." It seems to be connected with the use of the word in that period to mean a dandy or somebody smartly dressed (hence spiffy, and to spiff up - to improve the appearance of a place or a person), but nobody seems to have been able to disentangle the threads of which came first, or what influenced what, or where the word originally came from.

While difficult to trace, during the 1900's the term SPIFF was used heavily in the furniture retail business, and was thus re-invented to be defined as Sales Performance Incentive For Furniture. The process included manufacturers providing sales incentives directly to the sales force, bypassing the management of the store.

hart - go back and read the 8-K filing with the SEC on 10/6/05. It lines out the entire deal between CC & GZFX, who does what to whom & when. Roll out of stores, promos, and all. Hopefully it will explain most of what you and others are curious about. I have printed it out & re- read it every so often. Everything is going according to the plan so far.

I never worked at circuit city when there weren't spiffs and i feel sorry for the people that do now. They did that because best buy was so successful without em.

I see your point but i do think if they really wanted to be aggressive with it, they could become a great partnership down the line and stick around.

Mine has been slow as hell too. But this most recent time has just been ridiculous. I sent my last game back on 12-5, took about 2 weeks before I got the notification that they received it, took another week before they said they "sent" the new one, and as of now I still do not have the next one in my queue. I hope they do well because I do hold a position but if they don't remedy the turnaround time problem they have, they're looking at serious sub cancelations. I'm certainly not waiting a month every time I want a game. I'll take my happy ass somewhere else. Just not worth it with it being this slow.

BB is paid hourly and CC is hourly plus commission last I knew. that is why you feel like you get gang raped in CC and can not find help when you need it at BB.

I still think CC is really only a small part of the big picture for GZFX. I have faith they will be making money with or without them but any help from anywhere is great at this point....so I hope they stick together for a long time.

I've been pretty lucky. I got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in a couple of days... Then we just got Cinderella Man. That took longer. Almost a week. I emailed them and they said it will vary in time because they ship from 4 different warehouses and that movie was probably not in stock at the closest one this time. I'm in California. I just sent Cinderella Man back yesterday so we'll see how long it takes Mr. & Mrs. Smith to get here now! [Smile] My point is that they aren't always as horribly slow as they have been for you guys... Guess it depends on where you live, what you ask for, and which warehouse that particular title is located.

Circuit city dropped all spiffs and commissions about 3 years ago at least, George. I know people that work there...

That's cool. I went there and bought some stuff at Christmas and they were very aggressive as compared to BB. SO if that is the case I wonder why they are so aggressive?

I have not shopped CC in years. I like BB much better and I also get most stuff off the internet anyway.

PATIENCE..... remember...it was the holiday season and that is one of the busiest times for any rental company, especially little GZFX. My brother activated his gift cert. on Christmas day... got his 3 movies on Friday. PRETTY FAST ...I'd say. Queue has be backed up due to renting season...but all will soon get even better. Heck ...the $260 deal for the year is not bad at all BTW... although.. I just can't seem to convince my wife to do that...EVENTHOUGH...it would be cheaper and better throughout the year...especially compared to NFLX.

ALSO....Thanks for the tip OnPoint!!!

I live in the small city of Fort Walton Beach (FWB) Florida. There is not "BB" in FWB. The closet "BB" is in Destin Florida which is about 16 to 18 miles away. But, there is a CC in FWB area. CC could easily target the customers for GZFX in this area. There is a Blockbluster across the street from CC. GZFX could make a mint here because there is few competition in the video/game rental. Blockbluster services are way to expensive. CC targets 50,000 people in this area. My opinion is that CC needs GZFX and GXFZ needs CC. There is a cruel world out there and CC needs to compete with BB and other movie/games rental providers. I just hope that they (GZFX) can deliver a good product in the time limit comfortable to its clients. In the mean time, I am proud to be a part of GZFX. History is in the making.

That's possible. By the way, in commenting on the above statement of this going up to .017 then falling before the news in a few weeks... I think this will go up until the news. People are gearing up for the news and that's why they're jumping in. I don't see them selling much before the news. Also, the news isn't a few weeks away, it could be a week or a week and a half away at this point!

The deal with it taking so long is quite possible the fact that they are a new company. NFLX has been a round a while and has made profits. The longer you have been around, the more warehouses you have to ship from. It's supply and demand, I think you will be seeing a turn around on turn around..if you will [Smile] this year. Again that is my hope [Smile] I certainly will switch to GZFX from Blockbuster if this gets big. I like the idea of renting games. But you also know BB and NFLX is going to have their say in this, and probably start renting out games also. If that happens, they already have the user base and longevity in this field. Anyway..enough rambling. Gimme more green tomorrow GZFX!!!!

Oh I do have a quick question....Hypothetically speaking, if this stock ever got really huge, how does that happen? Does it have to split? Does the company have to put more shares on the market? Do they have to start making a good profit before the stocks can get out of the pennys? Would it cease to be an otc bb stock? How does that all work, can anyone explain it to me?

So, what is everyones' predictions for tomorrow? I think we will gap up maybe as high as .0165 and then you will see a good sell off. Thursday's are horrible for this stock. Looking back there has only been ONE green thursday and it was 5% the rest were ALL red. I predict a close around .0145 Im going to go out and predict Friday and I think it will be back to green. Friday probably close around .016-.017. I figure tomorrow will be red mostly because its the last day to be red for the next week. Friday will be green and monday is almost always green. Tuesday is usually green. Weds 50/50 but w/news so close I vote green. Thurs usually sux but I think we might see 5-10% gain next thurs. Next friday will be a monster 20-30% I will probably be selling some off on next friday. Ill save some and hope for good news for the reopen. Whats everyone else's opinion?

So,
1/5/06= .0145
1/6/06= .0165
Next friday= .0345
