GLBT programming spreads right on Q

Q Television, the US network specialising in gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender programming, is making its inaugural visit to Mipcom with a slate of original programming.

Twenty-four-hour channel Q has grown within the US over the past year – launching in cities such as New York, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago – and is now keen to explore international opportunities.

Among its Mipcom highlights are ‘sports and cultural event’ Gay Games VII, to be held in Chicago in July 2006. As official TV network for the event, Q will offer both live coverage and packaged programming that follows the action and shares personal stories of some of the athletes.

Also on the original slate is Brunch, starring Honey Labrador and Scott Withers; news/sports/entertainment hybrid On Q Live; and QueerEdge, a live nightly talk show that takes viewers to the 'farthest reaches of Queerdom.'

Rounding out the slate is travel programme Q on the Move; dance-meets-fashion programme Flesh and Threads; and Xcess/Access, a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry with interviews with fashion models and designers.

Gay Games issues open call for artists to submit poster designs
Chicago, IL – The Gay Games in Chicago won’t just be for athletes, performers and their fans. True to its motto of inclusion, the Gay Games will give also give creative artists an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Chicago Games, Inc. (CGI), the organizers of the 15-22 July 2006 Gay Games VII Sports & Cultural Festival, today issued a Call for Artists to submit designs for a series of commemorative Gay Games posters. Selected designs will be printed in a limited series on museum quality paper and distributed to help raise visibility and funds for the Chicago event.

The Gay Games Arts Committee will select winning artwork from designs submitted by 15 November 2005. The selection committee will be chaired by well-known Chicago artist Bob Klunk and Chicago artist, writer and poet CC Carter. The winning artists will each receive 50 artist proofs of their completed poster and the designs will be featured on the Gay Games Chicago website at http://www.gaygameschicago.org.

Artists should submit artwork in the highest resolution possible on CD-ROM by 15 November 2005 to: Poster Art Contest, Gay Games VII, 4753 N. Broadway, Suite 602, Chicago, IL 60640. All artwork submitted will be the property of Chicago Games, Inc. to be used in promotions, sales and all other uses. No original artwork will be returned. Artists will be required to sign a release granting use of the artwork.

Specifications/Rules
Final printed poster artwork will be 18” wide by 24” high. The logos of Gay Games VII and our Global Sponsors, along with text listings of some of our business sponsors, will appear on the final product. Artists may incorporate placement of these logos in their submitted design, or they may leave a 2” high space at the bottom of their design for logo placement by CGI. Artists may choose to use the Gay Games VII logo in their design. The logo may not be modified. Please review the Logo Acceptable Use Guidelines available online at http://www.gaygameschicago.org/yourhost/logo.php. For specifications on proper use of the logo of the Federation of Gay Games, viewed online at http://www.gaygameschicago.org/images/partner/FGGLogo-125×50.jpg, contact CGI at info*gaygameschicago.org.

It is speculation. Most companies are "valued" at their market cap which is set by the price.

When people try to assess what they think the value should be many start at the base. It is safe to say that any company is worth the value of its assets.

Then from there it gets vague. It is reasonable to look at the discounted value of future cash flows. ie. what is a 110K a year for 10 years worth now?

Many also use the multipliers against revenue, and depending on the industry that can be just about anything.

But hype can have as much to do with pps as anything else. Look at p/e ratios on some companies. Way out of whack.

Others just guess LOL

here are some questions i would like, and im sure we all would as well...

#1. Subscribers. How many subscribers do we have currently and what does this number include up to?

#2. Straight up, what is the amount of shares in the:
-float
-OS
-common
-preferred
-authorized

#3. At or near what number of subscribers do we think we will turn a profit. Some of the shareholders have guessed at 100,000.

(this is just off the top of my head.)

#4 the Financial page. We were promised a financial page and have still yet to see one.

#5 Frank and company. This is not to hurt you, but just so we are on the same page, one of the main things that has hurt the pps is the dishonesty of some issues from the company and missed deadlines. I think we may all be in consensus to having you guys now only PR deadlines when you KNOW you will meet them and to from here on out be as honest as possible

What is the payback scheme for the repayment of the private investors.

what is the problem that makes our shell dirty, and what is required to clean this up.

We heard of this problem at the last CC what has been done to fix this and are these the same problems as mentioned at the open house.

What is the hiarchy of the company, who is next in comand if something where to happen to Frank.

Will you be reporting at the end of this audit, if so we would like a timeframe in which to expect this to be done.

Can you explain how we have had 4 buybacks anounced in the last year and a half, but the o/s has increased. how is that possible.

theres a quick start for you.

if you do up a list of questions make sure you send it around so we can tick off anything that is answered. if we all try to ask a question then we can have a list of the same questions so we have a better chance of getting them all done

Rod

yeah, we are all gonna post our questions on the list and then at the CC we will all have the list and we will have an order for who asks what question and have it go around so that we get all the questions answered...i heard that last conference call callers were only allowed 1-2 questions so this will make sure we get all of our questions answered

Why all the concern on who is the #2 guy? If Frank did go down (no pun intended) I think everyone would bail just cause he is the Man behind this dream. If it were to happen, it is a decision call at that moment in time, nothing more nothing less. To me this should be a non-issue for all of us.

Shell Questions: Someone who also post on Ihub may want to ask Lobo about shares that are associated with the old shell. Apparently, all the shares that were associated with the shell have to be verified, confirmed and accounted for. This could take some time to accomplish and no doubt a very large task. [Big Grin]

After meeting with the staff at "Q" I do not feel that everyone would bail. You have to feel the passion and conviction that these people have. They in other words "Have A Dream" and it is coming to reality through "Q". Frank maybe the man behind the dream, but the dream will live on no matter what. It is more than a dream it's reality for these people.

whether they are signaling im ready to run it, or i need more shares or lets take it down or what....

MM signals

copied and saved this a while back... i think it was you MT if im not mistaken that posted this originally about 6 months ago, i could be totally wrong, but I know I did get it from allstocks....

Heres the code for the MMs as told to me by my great grand pappy.
100 == I need shares
200 == I need shares don't take down PPS
300 == Take down the PPS to get shares
400 == Trade sideways Supply & Demand
500 == Gap one way or the other

1000 == Don't Let It Run
2100 == Let it Run
2500 == Whatever, let it happen

yeah i was gonna say there is a list..but i would not put faith in that...it is soo old and everybody sees it so it would not be much use for the MM anymore...i think they have a different set now
