I just realized I joined Allstocks 2 years ago today. When I first joined - the ONLY other stock 'chat' place I had seen was RB.....and you can bet I thought Allstocks was a breath of fresh air!
Most people were sooooo friendly and helpful - super people like Chicago Joe, Uncle Milty (Old Mullet), Dar Da Dog and Rickpic - to name a few. I wonder how Chicago Joe and Milty are......ANyone ever hear from them?
It's GREAT to have Da Dog and Rickpick back after some IDIOTS drove them so crazy they probably figured "Why Bother". Guys - to answer the "Why Bother" is simple - Just about EVERYBODY but a few clods like and respect you two. You guys have made some incredible picks too. Rick - I remember back around Sept-Oct. 2003: you must have been 8 for 8 in that period! Dar has been awesome and a great teacher and help to MANY of us here - and has provided the insight and links to many resources for us to furrther our knowledge....
What prompted me to write this is that I've recently seen some derogatory threads on "Group Plays and momo and father of two (neither of whom I know - and I personally haven't been on the board much lately due to some health challenges). Guys - THAT's the kind of crap that makes a great board get ugly fast - and pushes good people to leave. I know Bob has done everything he can to keep this the cleanest and most civil board I know of. Nobody makes you buy ANYTHING. If you just buy because someone here says to - without doing your OWN DD - you deserve what you get....Take your medicine. I bought a stock a year and a half ago because a few were posting about it - and I bought in quickly based on reading 1 lousy PR. It tanked - MY fault - and I lost MY money.
This is a Super place with Super People for the most part. Don't muck it up. And don't gamble (that's what the otc is) ANY money unless you can afford to lose it ALL - because it happens.

Momo showed up, posting as regular guy then picked some really big runners. But, guess what, each subsequent pick produced more bagholders...Then he tried another one and it was obvious when he and his group pulled the plug: Lottssa bag-holders on that one, and it came out he was really the infamous Lexkartel aka nomi-ugly, running group picks under an alias. He left in shame...But, since then he and his crowd have made repeated attempts to infiltrate the board, and in fact has several from his group posting here pretty regularly. Then he started a series of attacks, going after KTrain and some others (including me) finally settling on Father of Two...well, for the time being. It's all about creating fear, uncertainty and doubt, in order to recruit newbies for group picks, released at a board he created. Hence, the defensive posture you've noticed from some of the regular members who have started posting in your absence. All in all? Still a great board, with plenty of savvy traders...good to see you've returned.

Wow what a trip down memory lane! Chicago Joe and Uncle Milty were great stock pickers! Don't know what has become of them.
Every time I see one of these group picks posted, I'm wondering just how long it will take for the hostilities to come in here! Yes I had a huge string of profit making picks back then, but I also tryed to warn people to do there own DD and manage there own trading accounts for themselves and still it got hostile! Mostly due to CMKM/CMKX which did run 1100% after I stoped posting here due to the hostilities and more so due to the fact that people were just blindly following the picks i posted and if they happened to lose it was not pretty! Knowone is allways going to pick winners! Its risky and even the best DD sometimes isn't enough to predict the movement of a stock.
Good luck to the blind followers. because I would guess that a few of the MMs are wise to who the goo roo is at this point, and I trust that they will seeze the opportunity to break up any following that creats a lose for them on any shorts they may hold!
This is a short term market and if you have a profit take a profit!
Unlike others I will try to post my exit points if anyone is following my DD on any picks i post!
For the record, I came back to Allstocks to post because it is the most civil place I have found to post and get some DD from others, some of which I respect. If this changes, I will once again stop posting!

Months ago folks tried using reason in dealing with Momo. That did not work. After enough folks had been burned in his group picks we found he kept hiding in the grass using multiple identities to lure new folks to his site. He would then front load and announce a group pick. The PPs would spike as he was selling his shares to the new folks who lost lots of cash holding worthless shares. Many of them we never heard from again.
We found that attacking Momo when he showed up to recruit was the most successful way to alert folks as to who he and his moderators were. His membership has drastically lowered and he is having a difficult time recruiting more folks from AS.
I know the back and forth is a little crazy but if anyone knows a better way to deal with his con I'm interested. It gets tiring driving that snake out of the tall grass....but...there are a group of folks that have kept him and his band of thieves at bay.

I had some success coralling 'em in "bottom feeders," for a few weeks.
I think the easiest thing would be to allow a Group Grope thread/topic, whatever, with appropriate, strongly worded disclaimers for newbs. That way we wouldn't have to spend so much time "on patrol." When we see one outside the "quarantined" zone, we tell em to get back to their room. If they don't? mods will kill it...

Great Idea!, but wouldn't that foil their pump part of the plan, thus making them the bag holders??

Hey LTM...Wow... taking me back to the good old days....Milty was a great guy and I kinda miss the DOG too!! Been keeping busy trying to keep a handle on MOMO, even considered changing my handle to MOMOstalker!!! Good to see you back...hope everything is going alright for you...

well its been a few months since i last saw momo & the few others that sleeze their way in here from time to time but then i haven't had much time to watch in the last 2 months. i'd say its about time for a new group attack. there are a few around here that don't post picks very often but still have a clue. we jump in the threads we like & stocks we play but beyond that we either bash cmkx or just do our own thing & the biggest reason is when pump & dump groups show up they go after those that pic a few winners from time to time mainly because the experianced penny pickers hate pump & dump groups & say so. pump & dumps like momo & a bunch of others have to have numbers or they cant sell the front load without dropping the pps. the best way to get numbers is pick 1 or 2 big runners & then slam every other person that posts a few winners thus drawing in anyone that pays attention to that persons picks. as was posted a few ppl back the best way to control that is jump on the pump & dumpers as soon as spotted. it does cause a week or 2 of argueing on a few threads but they leave because it stops them from getting the numbers they need.

Wow, 2 years on here for me now too. One piece of advice is never change email address in your account unless you know it is an approved email site, lol. Thats how I lost my old screen name.
Well, I think the biggest problem is people who don't know how to play pennies and get burnt. Most of the ones that were great stock pickers played many stocks and not all can be winners every time. So the few that only played those then started personal attacks. Then others hold them too long for a lose. It gets were they don't want to post their picks because of the few people that don't know how to play the penny market. Especially the ones that hold too long then blame the messenger. Seems like you can't convince some people to take profits and averaging down isn't the answer.
I see it all the time on the board where a stock runs and it gets a following by those who think this little penny stock is going to make them rich as long as they hold it till the end. Then when the end happens they blame the ones that brought the opportunity to them. Instead of them making good money they held for loses. You see it in Qbid, Prrm, Cmkx, Gzfx, Wmni, Tfct, Ican, and many others including most on this board with more then 5 pages in it. Some very good people brought these stocks up when they did run. The problem is that greedy people held them long for a lose and blamed the messenger instead of blaming the real culprit which was their own greed.

I've been thinking about this for a few days and I just wanted to post my suggestion. Why not ban MOMO's IP address? At least once to see if it works. I realize that there would be ways around it (creating new screen names from different internet providers, changing IP addresses if he has the ability, getting someone else to creat a name for him, etc). Maybe it has already been attempted. I just thought I would throw that out there.

kinda sad when people disappear from allstocks especially when they are an asset to the forum. Anyone remember Florida swing trader I'm sure Art does. I should probably direct this to Machivelli but i've often wondered if he went by the name mach2bow back in the day.

I was mainly talking about those that buy on a run and hold it to long till they are stuck and blame the messenger. I know several people buy at possible bottom with hopes of a run later. My comments said nothing to that. It was just meant for runners and those that don't take profits and blame others.
My take on Q is that it always goes up and down and will continue until something huge changes like being open about basic shareholders inforamtion. It is the only one out of those listed that I still play.

hey Ric I like your break down of how it goes and its true! We all get caught up and hold to long some times and its our own fault!
As for whats playable on your list I still hold 92m shares of ICAN, that I should have sold at .0009, but I would buy more if I thought I could get it for .0001!

Wrong Steve - I'm the one who emailed you to see if you wanted to come down here (So. FL)as a GC if we had a severe hurricane.....and we almost did. Those poor people in the Gulf.....
I've actually gotten a few insirance jobs from KAtrina down in the Hollywood, FL area - mostly roofs and trees through roofs and houses. NOTHING like the Gulf. I was here 10 days after Andrew - and I can see that Katrina is MUCH worse - both in scope, size and ALL THAT WATER...
