acutally let me add....i think that Q should take out a major loan and buyback the shares at these current levels...if Frank believes in his business plan then he should roll the dice and take out a 5-10M dollar loan and buyback as many shares as possible at these levels...
5M at these levels (if im correct) would buy back something like 4.5Billion shares...
10M = 9Billion shares...
now i know this probably wont happen, and i know the procedure is to dilute at first and then buy back at HIGHER levels when you have cash reserves....just saying that at these levels, wouldnt take an enormous amount of money to buy up the entire float....once we reach levels like .007 or .01 and they are profitable...well, itll take 7-10X more money!!

That's a great point MillerTIME. I hope the thought passes through Frank's mind. It's certainly a bargain now!

Well, if they expect the audit to be released soon... as well as new carried information that will take us to the 13 million homes they projected by this December, then all of that should take care of itself. If it is all crap... then it really doesn't matter what they do now...

I agree completely. I feel for the victims and understand that NO is home to them, but sometimes you need to use the rational part of the brain instead of the emotional. How often are we going to have to pump hundreds of billions of dollars into NO rebuilding it until we decide it's a bad idea. The heart and soul of a city is in its people, not its location. Turn the city in to the estuary area is should be and relocate it to higher, safer, ground. It won't be the first time that such a thing has been done.

any buyback without audited and reported financials is meaningless.
frank has supposedly already reduced the float by half--so what value is attached to those preferred shares?? that figures into market cap calculations. big money won't come here until accurate reported share counts and valuations, real assets and liabilities are disclosed. big money will not take frank's word on it, they can just cut a deal with him (like the "private equity group").
we'll know about those previous buybacks when the audited financials are released and we can see those shares parked in the treasury.
so come on frankie--release the hounds....
...show us the audit

I'm just trying to get this straight in my own mind, so here goes...If Frank buys back now he gets the shares for low low prices. Then he releases the audit and the pps goes up? maybe more than if he hadn't bought back shares? On the other hand, if he relaeses the audit now will the pps be signifacantly higher when he is ready to buy back shares? Questions I have, answers would be most appreciated!

This stock is like a king who is near death but every one trying to revive him and keep him alive. Some look in wonder and say; it's a matter of time!!
I wish I will be wrong.

You don't get it, do you? It's NOT ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY. WHY IS MONEY AND THE FINANCIAL ASPECT OF THIS ALL YOU THINK ABOUT.
Your logic would dictate that: a) People in California deserve anything that happens, like the Big One b) People in North Carolina and Florida deserve any hurricanes they get
They will make changes to elevation, levees, etc. They are not THAT stupid. I will discuss this no more with you as this is off topic and you are a lost cause.

You don't know what you are talking about, you are insensitive to VICTIMS, and you don't understand what a home is and what it means. May God spare YOU from a disaster that destroys all that you know and love because what comes around, goes around bud.
I'm not insensitive to the situation. I know people lost a lot. I talked to a victim over IM just yesterday who moved to my state to get out of NO, so I know their lives are devastated by Katrina.
What I am saying is that if you talk to a New Orleans person, they'll tell you that for YEARS they kept fearing the next hurricane was going to be the one to hit and take out half the city. All their news stories were about how the levees couldn't handle/take another hurricane, and everyone always feared the worst. People left the dangerous areas as they could, and then they came back, usually, to find that the hurricane wasn't that bad.
With Katrina, their greatest fear was met. It was "the one" they had been fearing.
That is why I'm surprised our leaders are talking about rebuilding New Orleans. It doesn't make sense from a fiscal standpoint. Compensate the victims, help them recover their personal effects, certainly, but let's not promise them we will rebuild it. Those areas are dangerous. If the cost to rebuild outweighs the cost to build anew, then build anew. There's no reason why New Orleans can't be expanded inland some more.
Anyway, something to think about: http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2005/9/1/21412/92313 There are in fact good reasons for people to live here; New Orleans exists because of a confluence of ground and water transportation routes and significant farming and seafood industries. But that doesn't mean there is a good reason for one point three million people to live here. Before modern sanitation, storm prediction, and indoor climate control existed New Orleans regularly lost thousands of inhabitants at a time to storms and epidemics. New Orleans has always been a city that creates much wealth, but in modern times we have forgotten that that wealth was once acquired at great cost.

alright guys we all need to focus our attention on positive aspects...see what a group effort provided over at ihub regarding the letters to frank...
well now we are starting up a flood of emails requesting Q at Dish network...this will provide many of us the ability to see Q and they are supposedly "in negoations" with Q TV....
so the first step is for somebody to find the correct link to where we should be forwarding the emails...preferrably the marketying or programming email address...

Well lets understand something... QBID has hired a reputable accounting firm, named them, stated in a press release who they are and what their purpose is. Now, are we to presume that all of that is pure crap for the purpose of a few people making money at the expense of a lot of people? Would the "reputable" accounting firm allow their name to be posted in fictional or incorrect national "PR" releases? I can't see how that could be... can any of you?

please, i urge everyone of you Q shareholders to place emails to the Dish progamming stating you want to see QTV...if we can get around the forums on QBID to get 250+ emails in the next couple days i would say this would give a great KICKER to finish off the negotations and televise QTV

thinkin now maybe 30-50 requests per day with vaarious other people will surely raise some eyebrows and more than likely get Q carried on the satilletes

Someone mentioned a while back (it might have been Jennifer) but I wonder if QTN has ever realized the potential grass roots campaign they could have through their investors?
I mean they could send us stacks of fliers addressed to our local cable companies that we could hand out for people to fill out and send in. Or posters, or postcards, petitions, anything.
Any ideas?

yeah noah...we should have done this a long time ago...because when you think about it...to get Q carried on even 1 satellite..you would get many of us switching and paying the 9bucks a month or whatever...not because were gay but because we wanna see the programming and watch the show...and for all of us shareholders to have a chance on viewing it, would be great...
with Q's subscribtion levels so low, every extra subscriber is pretty big...
----
when you think about TW Maine...how many people requested Q before they carried it....not as many as we shareholders can create....that is why this should be done throughout all the forums...because if we do request Q 30 times a day for each satellite, then i would be very surprised if they did not carry it....(by the way, 30 a day is not a lot at all when you think about how many shareholders read the ALL the forums everyday..)
