I posted this originally in January (see below).
With today's PR, we appear to have a national carrier deal which solidifies item 2. The various celebrities (Belinda Carlisle, Matthew Rush, Martin Short, etc...) that were mentioned in the previous days PR are part of the "buzz" in item 3 that is getting stronger for "Q".
But the one area that will turn this from a "penny with potential" to a "viable stock option for main stream investors" is a clear indication on the financials. And I believe this is close at hand with the announcing of the Cox deal. I think that this is an important strategic decision for Cox since their competition (Comcast) will be broadcasting Logo. They will know be in the "gay game" (no pun intended) and be able to tap into what could be a very profitable revenue stream. I would be amazed that Cox would not know the financials prior to making a "National" decision to broadcast "Q". The timing of tonight's "Main Event" would be a perfect opportunity to announce the financial situation....let's see what happens tonight !

From what I have read, QBID is chipping away at all of this keys but still has work to do :
- The financial side of Q is still murky and needs to be justified and clarified more and more. This will appease the conservative side of the investor community.
- The distribution side of Q is the strongest area IMO right now. A steady stream of PR's regarding RCN happenings, programming details, Gay Games rights, etc... has made this THE base of Q's success as it stands today. Once the "name brand " carriers come on board (not talking about satellite co. XYZ...but solid/ financially stable name brand companies) and subscription numbers can be verified, the 2nd key to success ($$$$$$) will be achieved.
- The "buzz" is brewing. Inside the various forums there is a constant "buzz" about QBID (or whatever your "stock of the moment" is). But the "buzz" that can be generated from a brief mention on national TV via David Letterman or a PR regarding a tribute to an icon in the world (not just the gay world) like Liz Taylor, is where the REAL "buzz" begins to unlock the most critical key to success ($$$$$$). Q NEEDS to become THE place where not only subscribers, but the media & entertainment world AND mainstream America turn to for there gay info. It needs to be the "in thing" to watch, be watched on and be associated with. Q needs to be chic and ultimately become a cliché. . Q needs to become synonymous with gay television (e.g.: Kleenex = tissue or Xerox = copier.....Q = gay TV ?). The "buzz" key is still in its infancy but it is the key that can build momentum the fastest and make Q successful ($$$$$$) literally overnight. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jonas, let me also add to clarify myself-- this is 99.9% MM...
you have to think of the whole picture..it takes somebody with , again, a ridicously high share count to be able to manipulate QBID...other stocks yes you can run them up yourself and hold them down, but Q is in a whole nother league...
yes this is THE MM, no doubt about it, what their reasons are, well thats what were trying to figure out

OK Everyone Breathe, all this talk about COX today is great but I'm going to bring up Time Warner for a second. Check this link out. China is an untapped market as far as cable TV goes, the country has been spending billions around the world this year. The doors to the outside world are slowly opening. Once we are picked up fully by TW could you imagine the possibilities that exist with the amount of Gays and Lesbians in China.

I like your thought, but I would not count on Gay programming in China, is is against the law to be gay in China and you either end up in jail or worst if you get caught in the act or professing, much like Iran that just hanged 2 teenage boys for having sex together. Q Television has picked up a famous studio to broadcast from. The gay network has inked a deal to take over the former Burbank digs of Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune.
Currently Q is operating out of production space in Dallas. It's naming its new home "Q Television Media City."

(Beijing) Fudan University in Shanghai will begin offering a course leading to a minor in LGBT studies this fall. The optional course for undergraduates will focus on health, social and political issues facing gays and lesbians in China.
The program, to start in September, is the first time any university in China has offered such a course, and is believed to be the first LGBT field of study anywhere in Asia.

I know it is a long way off, just started brain-storming when I saw the write-up. I think China has made huge strides in opening itself up to the world in the last year and thier future appears very bright. And even brighter for the companies that get inside China's Borders.

Here is the connection with Jack Lett and Pridevision in Canada, he had a program with them, so now he is returning but this time as a host for "Q" with his own program.
Jett’s professional background is as diverse as his new show. He received comedy training at Humber Comedy College of Performing Arts; was a successful runway and print model in the 80s; an assistant to Belinda Carlisle in the late 80s; and a U.S Representative for Prime Television Australia in the early 90s. His TV and film credits are also impressive.

We closed today at the same level we opened and on some good news...go figure! I sold my remaining shares today and will rebuy in a couple days....
From a tech perspectative, we are in a DOWNTREND and some correction is required before it goes back up, or we need financial news (o/s, a/s etc)!
Now, with that being said, todays news, IMHO will shorten the amount of time required for the chart to turn around! My gut feeling is that we will be testing 14/15 by Friday again (my buy is in at 14, but I may adjust to 15 if need be) and then WE WILL turn around and head upward. I fully plan on using ICMH profits to buy 5 - 8 million shares late this week or early next, so I am still with the Q gang! The support for this is in the 13-15 range, so, I absolutely do not think it will fall below that level!
I know I am taking a risk by sitting out for a couple days, but, it is one risk I am willing to take!

Alright what I think might be happening is that Q is being professionally manipulated to help cover a massive short position this week due expiration week. These 'criminal' actions make it look as if they (the mm's) are naked shorting this to death or Frank is liquidating-and I do believe niether is the case..What the mm's are doing in their minds is justifiable due to the fact we have no share structure info at the public's disposal (i.e. no audit)..If Q mgmt. has released all these major positive pr's TW Maine, Studio in Burbank, and now the COX contract-and there has been no major shift in pps.-it tells me they are aware of this pricing misrepresentation and are deliberately issuing out these developements in spite of the apparent criminality-tells me only one thing-the audit is done, and they are persuing a 'exception to the rule' option in issuing out the share structure through allowing a specified amt of time to be warranted in endeavoring to acertain as to what the actual share structure is through the utlities of an accounting and law firm..In essence, they are telling the SEC they have tried their best in assessing their belief as to what the size of the O/S should be, and they have done this diligently and honestly over a SPECIFIED amount of time..(since the beg of Jan. to JULY- ergo 6 months)..They (the SEC) will approve the measure because it is nearly acurrate and it lends creedence to the applicabilty to the situation at hand (like how GAAP bends slightly on certian reporting scenarios-residual revenue, realized revenue)..IMO, if Q is 99% certain with .01% error, IMO the SEC will approve..In short, the SEC wants due dilligence out of this-not a half-assed endeavor-And I feel Frank gave them that..Why all the major PR's over a certain amt of time? Why all this effort in the past? (pride events, conventions, programming)..Once the share structure is exposed (probably less than 3 billion float) the mm's will be happy to run it up-THEY WANT TO-IMO..they want to make money to..and re-short the pps. on the way down like they did before..And this time-the pps. could hit in the ballpark of .07 to .12 if TW decides to expand into other locales, DISH is announced as well as CMCSA..

------MT speakin now--- i acutally think DD may be on to something here...after much thought as i posted before---i do not think the MM are "Trying" to hold this down now...i think something bigger is going on, something that is neither postive nor negative, but everybody is just waiting on the share structure and then after the subscriber numbers...everyone is taking all these press releases into account, so i do fully expect the pps to run "very well" after their financials are cleared up....
i just think the MM are not shorting and all that anymore because they see the huge potential that lies ahead...MM get short squeezed mainly because of surprise news, not a stock they see has the potiental to run well over 1000%...because of this, i feel strongly that the MM are going to be ready and willing to let this run once the financials are in order

one thing you need to realise this was not pred and there was over a billion shares traded today.
that triggered radar all over the place today and you can be guaranteed there are going to be a hole lot more eyes watching this sucker tomorrow morning at the open. I suspect we are going to see half a billion shared traded in the first 3 hours and we will see a price movement tomorrow. once people start to realise why the volume was so high today.
i think you are taking a much larger risk then we are at this point.
but i wish you luck in your endeavours. i feel the launch pad is shaking and we are about to leave the platform. I feel a gap at open tomorrow.
big news. and my discussion with Richard today was very encouraging.
Frank is absolutely livid at the fact that the price did not move today. This is good as now he will be motivated even more to straighten out the problems that plague this pps. I think the only thing he can do it get the audit results out, get this company reporting and let the chips fall where they fall.
we may explode in pps but this is probably the necessary measures that are going to be required to put this thing right.
I cant wait, it is going to hurt someone who is short im sure but hey that is thier problem. Bring on the reality check.

Just spoke to Cox to order Q Television (they are my provider). The CSR said she didn't have it available and asked why I thought I could order it. Gave her my info. She put me on hold for awhile and came back to say that channels joining in the next month are not available for subscription yet. She did not have any info on Q, but said that they added several new channels YESTERDAY and the info hasn't trickled down yet.

Ya' know, there is so much positive news, AND accomplishments, that this thing NEEDS to get off the pinks.....the audit will vindicate all the nonsense, (or show it as alot of shares issued), and let this stock move as a stock, and not as an MM, (market manipulation play)...NSS and all other potential interference, will then be revealed...JMHO..
P.S. My personal opinion, is that this thing has been and is being manipulated.....but what do I know...GLTA....

Billionaire investor Icahn, renowned for buying large stakes in companies that he has parlayed into board seats and sweeping changes, on Monday criticized Time Warner for not making moves to boost shareholder value.
"They had a frank and open exchange of views," Time Warner spokesman Ed Adler said. "Dick impressed upon him that the board and management are committed to moving as aggressively as appropriate on its current course to create and deliver long-term value for all of the company's shareholders."

He declined to discuss the details of the meeting. A spokeswoman for Icahn had no comment.
Although the result of Wednesday's meeting appears inconclusive, the company's statement seems to indicate its current plans may not be set in stone, one analyst said.
Prior to Icahn's overtures, Time Warner had mulled spinning off as much as a quarter of the cable division, but finally settled at about 16 percent, a source familiar with the plans said.
"It wouldn't be a giant leap of imagination for them to consider selling all of it," said veteran media analyst Harold Vogel, of Vogel Capital Management, speaking about Time Warner's plans for the cable division. "Even if they sold all of it, it's not clear that will generate significant stock appreciation for Time Warner."
Time Warner shares closed Wednesday down 10 cents, or less than 1 percent, at $18.30 on the New York Stock Exchange.

I never saw the whole PR here BL, but there were snippets and references to it here this morning but mainly on IHUB I believe. Something about a partnership with Cox on the studio blah blah blah...

Thanks, Ligge. Just wondering how it was worded and how outlandish it was. But you've told me enough to satisfy my curiosity. Too bad we will never know if someone fries for posting it. LOL. Also too bad the MMs (or whoever is manipulating the PPS) will never be punished.

Q Television, which has secured the Gay Games VII in Chicago, as well as announcing a new fall line-up, has partnered with Cox in the successful leasing of a production facility in nearby Burbank.
