Digdough --

I am honored that you used my letter to Equity relations exactly (with a different name at the end), but I'm a little annoyed that you didn't mention where it came from. Also, because I sent that letter to Equity Relations, then you sent it, he is going to see two letters that are exactly the same...he might realize we are spamming him if he doesn't already.

Sorry Maestro. I didn't take note of who originated those questions. I don't see how that can be considered spamming though. So the words are the same. I'm a share holder who has a right to question this guy the same as any body else. What can he say? Thanks for the Questions. You done me proud! [Big Grin]

What is the point in QBID releasing OS numbers before the outside firm confirms their audit?
What is the point in releasing a PR stating you are buying back 3% of the O/S when you haven't released the outstanding share count yet?

Basically, they are saying they know the O/S or at least enough to estimate it. They aren't telling us, because they either want to: 1) dilute, or 2) get us to sell our shares to them and/or other insiders at lower prices.

This was an intentionally BAD PR they released to shake more shareholders, IMHO.

He might have a list of the allstock guys, so he only has to answer a couple of emails, knowing that he will get the point across without having to do a lot of extra work.

TV Network for Gays, Lesbians to Debut

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: June 27, 2005
Filed at 8:03 a.m. ET

NEW YORK (AP) -- The man who's molding Logo, the new network for gays and lesbians, grew up in rural Illinois, attended Oral Roberts University and counted that cheesy keyboard solo on ''Freeze Frame'' as his big moment during gigs with his college band the Ozones. At first glance, Brian Graden hardly seems too hip for the room.

But the 42-year-old Graden is one of television's busiest and most imaginative executives, already responsible for the programming on MTV, VH1 and CMT -- and now Logo, which debuts Thursday.

Long in the works, Logo will initially be seen in about 10 million homes with digital cable. Unlike Here and Q, two pay-per-view, gay-oriented networks already operating, Logo will be available in homes that do not specifically order it.

Films such as ''Kissing Jessica Stein'' and ''Philadelphia'' and documentaries will fill many of Logo's first hours. The network also has a scripted series, ''Noah's Arc,'' about a homosexual black man and his friends in Los Angeles, a reality series about opening a gay bar and the stand-up comedy series ''Wisecrack.''

A gay man himself, Graden had hoped to help out with Logo even before he was appointed its president.

Graden's job requires a comfort with Wall Street and Hollywood, two sides of his personality presaged by his educational choices. He went to Oral Roberts with fellow band members in an ill-fated attempt to keep the Ozones alive, then later earned an MBA from Harvard University.

Seeking an internship one summer, he wore his best suit to an interview with colorful TV executive Stephen Chao. Chao said he'd hire Graden as long as he never wore a tie again, and spent the interview quizzing the young man on what he watched on TV, the music he listened to, the movies he saw.

''I came to understand that that's the essence of what you're hiring, the essence of what matters,'' he said.

Graden now appoints teams at MTV Networks that are immersed in the lifestyles of the audiences they are trying to reach.

The launchpad for his career came when he befriended writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone, helping them to develop ''South Park.''

He moved to MTV in 1997, and was the executive behind a dizzying array of hits, including ''The Osbournes,'' ''Pimp My Ride,'' ''Jackass,'' and ''The Newlyweds.'' Graden has managed not only to stay on top of MTV's here-today, gone-tomorrow ethos but expand his authority to where he's put between 200 and 300 programs on the air.

''It's one of those things that's increasingly gratifying, to see an executive who truly approaches television from a creative point of view without ignoring the business of all of it,'' said television producer Michael Davies, whose credits include ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.''

A gently prodding phone call from Graden when he heard Davies was pitching an interesting show to another network recently resulted in VH1 getting the project -- a late-night talk show still under development -- when the other network backed off.

Every holiday season Graden sends to friends not only a card, but an exquisitely curated CD mix of songs. ''He lives a creative life,'' Davies said.

It would be unusual to get country music fans, rappers and fans of Britney Spears or old Jackson Browne videos to agree on much of anything, yet Graden is the man overseeing the mix of networks that appeal to each one.

What's he doing running a country music channel, anyway?

''If you go home (to Hillsboro, Ill.) and visit my parents -- not that I'd wish that on anyone -- you would find CMT on 24 hours a day,'' he said. ''My parents are finally proud of what I do because they watch CMT. Before, I don't think they understood what I do every day.''

Logo may be his biggest challenge yet.

''I don't envy his position,'' said Paul Colichman, founder of Here, which offers primarily edgy material oriented to gays and lesbians in about 45 million homes.

''He's got competing constituencies,'' he said. ''He's got advertisers who are fearful of offending anyone because they're going after mass groups of people. At the same time, he's got to create a service that is compelling to the gay and lesbian audience who wants to watch it. It kind of depends on their appetite for gay lite.''

The decision to remake a Canadian series about planning a commitment ceremony, called ''My Fabulous Gay Wedding,'' illustrates the fine line being walked. The Logo series is instead called ''First Comes Love.'' The title wasn't changed to sidestep controversy, but rather to better reflect a show about relationships, a Logo spokesman said.

Graden said his job is to serve the target gay and lesbian audience and not worry about cultural critics who may look over his shoulder.

''That said, we've also said from early on that the standards for Logo will be that of a general entertainment network,'' he said. ''The assumption that I would have to push certain standards to tell my story instead of yours I don't get, because they're all human stories.''

Potential viewers have told Logo that it's important to reflect their community's diversity, he said. So there will be documentaries telling what it's like, for instance, to be a 22-year-old Latino homosexual or a lesbian couple that has been together for decades.

That's different from the other, sharply focused MTV networks; watch MTV and you know it's made for 21-year-olds. Even corporate cousin BET is more interested in young black viewers than the black audience as a whole.

''We're talking to an audience that has already felt that it has been excluded from the media tapestry for many years,'' Graden said. ''It didn't feel right to create a channel where some people would feel further excluded.''

Having a gay or lesbian in charge of Logo was essential, Colichman said. Quietly proud of the moment, Graden said it has symbolic and practical advantages.

''It is important and powerful that you have both gay and lesbian voices directly in the conversation for the product you're trying to create because you're trying to serve an audience,'' he said. ''We don't want any of our channels to look like a corporate man was handing down what he thinks an audience would like.''

Launch Of LOGO Kicks Off Sizzling Summer TV Season

by Duane Wells, 365Gay.com

Despite numerous hurdles and setbacks, June 30 sees the launch of MTV Networks’ LOGO, the first 24-hour, all-gay basic cable network in America. At a time when the civil rights of gays and lesbians face all sorts of new challenges, the kick-off of a network completely devoted to the programming interests of the gay and lesbian community is nothing short of monumental.

LOGO now joins here! and QTelevision in the race to win over gay and lesbian television viewers in what is shaping up to be one of the most intense and interesting showdowns in the history of cable television. Fortunately it us, the gay and lesbian community, who stand to gain the most, no matter what the outcome. For the first time we will have a plethora of viewing choices on a regular basis as opposed to the occasional “event” programming or the token gay character here or there on television. Further, we will finally get to see programming that reflects our own perspectives without apology or deference to any right wing political group whose influence or letter-writing campaigns threaten to water them down.

Gonna get hot out there in Gay TV Land [Big Grin]

Hi BB I haven't heard of you here for awhile. Sounds like this Graden guy is having an illustrious career. I haven't looked at your website lately. Have you added anything recently? Any movie deals in sight? Nice to hear from you again. Did you see anything going on in NY concerning Q?

Our Trip to Chicago Pride Fest

I am just going to give it to all of you straight. I spent Friday and Saturday in Chicago with my wife and friends. I went with the intentions of being strict but fair with the company; and my reason for this is because they have frustrated me lately with the lack of follow through. I think it is important for everyone to know that I am 100% behind the QTN. I have invested not only a lot of money, but hours upon hours educating myself and others of what the company is currently doing. I have learned so much and consider myself an informed investor of this company, thanks to the many people that help with all the info and great DD. That said, please know that I always look forward to the pros but want to be aware of the cons as well.

So back to Chicago; we headed to Pride Fest on Saturday after having a wonderful time at the Taste of Chicago. On our way we proceeded to look through publication after publication for QTN ads and such. Many magazines and flyers we ripped through, we found ad after ad about QTN or how QTN was a sponsor of something. Most of those magazines have been reported here, but it is a relief to see them your self. I think I counted 5 pages where we spotted Q’s logo in “Pink” magazine. Also the small local flyers for the GLBT community are really promoting next years Gay Games and every time you see the ad for them, you see the Q as well. It really made me feel better to see that not only is QTN paying for advertisements, but the Gay Games is actually promoting to get QTN on the air as well. You can see from some of the pictures of exactly what I am talking about. We got the feeling that the Gay Games is banking on QTN just as bad as us shareholders and the GLBT communities are as well.

We arrived at Pride fest and walked through the gates, the GLBT neighborhood nickname is called “Boy town” from what I gathered by the locals. I have been to San Fran and seen the GLBT neighborhoods, but this one was just as proud and very big. Beautiful city setting right next to Wrigley Field and all the people were so friendly to me and my wife. First thing we did was walk through the gates; there were thousands of people at this event. It was very overwhelming; we noticed that about every 10th person had on the same visor and it was none other than a “Q Television Network” visor. We noticed these before we even made it to the booth. About 50 foot into the fest we were greeted by 2 people dressed all up in Q clothing (visor, shirt and wrist bands) and they asked us to sign up to request carriage in our area. We of course told them how many times we had already done so and my friend filled one out with them right then and there. We made our way to Halsted and Waveland, but right before we got there we saw 4 more workers signing up people for carrier requests.

We got to the booth; it was the biggest booth at the event (probably 50 or 60 booths in total there), double the size of most booths, I think I saw one the same size, but it was a bar. Directly across from the QTN booth was the Chicago Gay Games booth and they were heavily promoting Q. They were passing out an entire pamphlet on QTN (as seen in my pictures) and the Gay Games employees were asking for volunteers. They were very informative and doing the job they were asked. I stood and talked with many of them later in the day, I again got the feeling that the Gay Games would receive HUGE attention this year and next, more than any year ever before. They were just as excited about QTN as I was; they sported QTN visors and wrist bands along with their Gay Games t-shirts.

Back at the QTN booth. At all times they had two people working it, but three most of the time. It was very packed with people for the entire three hours I was there. They had 4 more people in the center of the street close to the booth and right next to the stage signing up more and more people. I asked the booth attendants had they had very many sign up, he then told me that their goal was 100 an hour, but they had already had 300+ in the first 2 hours and 100 more in the first half of the third hour. He got the sheet and showed me exactly what numbers and forms he was referring to. They were very friendly people, but I need to make it clear that those folks promoting QTN were not employees of QTN. They were people who were hired for the weekend and in all I would say there were 14-20 of them all dressed in QTN clothing (junk’s DD was apparently right for the hiring of these people). I got my visors and a lot of wrist bands, they couldn’t pass out shirts because more people would be working the parade on Sunday and they needed them. It sounded like their numbers would double or triple for the parade as far as people working for Q trying to get requests, so I would assume Sunday would have anywhere from 30-60 people promoting.

Obviously I started asking the workers when and if the will be airing in Indianapolis very soon, but quickly I realized they had no clue. They were very pro QTN and all the ones I talked to were from the GLBT community; they were really having a GREAT time. When my wife was away she was getting women coming up to her left and right, and the men were very friendly with me as well. We had a blast; it was the best big crowd of people I had ever had the pleasure to have been in. No fights, no haggles and no violence period. Everyone was there to have a good time and QTN was promoted there, that I can assure you.
I believe there were only 6 actual employees of QTN there; they go as follows…Jackie, Saskia, their assistants and a couple of production/camera workers. I know the equipment was rented, the make up artists and most of the satellite and camera crew as well. I talked to most all of them, but they were jam packed with trying to run a live broadcast. When I did talk to them, they were very pro “call your cable company and request QTN”. They were doing there thing. The broadcast was wonderful, they were going out to the crowd, they were interviewing a lot of people; they switch back and forth. The whole team was extremely busy, the crowd was enormous and QTN worked it well from every angle.

We saw Lady Bunny who has been featured on Q a time or two, RuPaul who supports QTN (as reported by skunks), members of the IGLRA and many more. We sat at the Kit Kat club behind the production and watched them work, it was truly a sight. You hear reports on here, most everyone that has attended one of these events has came out saying positive things; I have to agree with them. QTN was acting like a true network and handling things the right way.

Now, I didn’t ask for any insider info from the hosts (they wouldn’t tell me any way). I didn’t want to be a bug, they were busy and I went to see them in action. My thoughts on the company go like this. I really think they are trying with everything they have. They covered that event just like any other network would. They promoted the event more than enough; the Gay Games did the same. My thinking is that Frank and Co. are more focused on trying to get this on with carriers and popular with the community, more than they are worried about the share price. It is obvious they are going to the GLBT communities and promoting themselves. They will either be embraced or rejected; my feelings are they will be embraced. I talked with many people there about Q and ALL of them were 100% behind them, very eager to see them on the air.

I still think the carriers want more than just requests; I think they want audit numbers as well. I think they want financials and the whole ball of wax. If Frank will supply those numbers like he said and the demand is huge like it appears to be, then in my opinion this company cannot fail. We know the network is for real; they pulled this weekend off without a hitch. Time will tell about the audit, but if QTN doesn’t make it as a network with quality programming it wasn’t for lack of trying. I know now more than ever that this company is for real, but more importantly Frank knows what needs to be done to get it to the public. I am happy with my investment and will go down with them or ride it to the top.

Please know this post was about my experience at the Pride Fest and my reaction as well as my wife and friends who are invested with QTN. We had a wonderful time and if they ever make it within 200 or so miles from where I reside I will be making another road trip. This post is so long that I had to stop writing, but please feel free to ask as many questions about my experience and I will tell you what I know. We didn’t come back for the parade because I didn’t think there would be a live broadcast and I would have had to taken the train to the city all over again. I did however brush up on posts and see that zeus1 posted that they were broadcasting from the parade.

Thanks to all who brought great DD this weekend and to those that continue to bring it for others good folks that don’t have the time or availability. We cannot say we are not informed investors and that we don’t have a great group effort here.

I know investor morale is low and we want answers to some open ended issues, my only hope is that some of those things come to fruition soon.

Hope all are well and thanks for taking the time to read,
lobo

Logo is already a publically traded entity. they do not need an audit as they are owned by Viacom and everyone knows they are not going anywhere.

Bad news from Adelphia, maybe we need to bombard them with Q requests:

Dear XXX,

Thank you for your e-mail.

At this time, all resources I have available indicate that the Q Network will not be a channel offering by Adelphia in the near future. Adelphia has, however, acquired a new and exciting channel to add to its lineup in most service areas. On June 30, look for the launch of the LOGO channel, broadcast in digital signal. For more information on this service addition, please visit their web site: www.LOGOonline.com

Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.

Sincerely,
Matthew
Adelphia Customer Support

By the way, I also replied to Adelphia stating that I was much more interested in Q Television.

There are still three days of June remaining....

IMO, LOGO's debut will open the door for national news coverage on QTN through indept news reporting--free advertising.

This could be a real fireworks weekend!

I heard a quick mention of the interest in the billions in disposable income on a news network yesterday.

......documentaries coming?

......documentaries produced by QTN?

Last July, QTN started broadcasting a signal. Remember the satellite guy who explained what was happening down in LA?

We went through problems with the signal and problems with the carrer's signal.

Now we have the programing!

Now we have subcribers--customers!

Now we have sponsors!

Now we have the 2006 games!

What a ride--and the best is yet to come.

[Big Grin] [Big Grin] Now this is "Q" at its finest. Frank should hire her and put her on all the Floats at the parades.

Hello fellow "QBiddians" here is a reply that I received from Richard today, the content is interesting as you can see.

Wayne,

I’m well aware of the investors who feel as though they are being short changed, but the reality is we are at a point now where many positive things happening cannot be discussed.

I completely sympathize with investors frustrations during these times, but information must be released carefully and not to interfere with Q negotiations.

Regards,

Richard

Richard, will we ever get more carriers ? or are we going to be doomed with lack of coverage? Do you think that we can expect some good news this week? The PPS continues to drop and we continue to loose investors. When will Frank get another contract for carriers? All this programming is great but if we do not have the audience then it is useless.
Richard, the investors are getting angry with the lack of news.
