I'm making this post to discuss the "group situation" that i'm getting tired of listening to on the posts. I do believe it's a profitable idea, and i would like to continue it. Possibly even carry it on myself, IF we can make some ground rules for it not laws. Everyone will be given the same chance to profit from it at allstocks(the way it should be). Instead of a secret group we really should have a small bunch of people 1-10 that can get together and discuss what the next pick will be, course of action taken on it(within the bounds of legality) etc, the group will consist of some of our veterans here at allstocks, glassman I respect your decisions and would really appreciate your comment on this. I would like to help make this possible only if people are willing to make it a worthwhile effort and everyone will agree without belittling everyone as well as people thinking it's still a good idea. Anyways the group of "veterans" would find the best pick suitable for the best gain on one day a week the pick will be released 20 min before the bell so everyone here can cash in and then we will set a target, maybe in groups(might not work) or something to cash out. I would like to continue this, repo had a good idea to begin with i give him credit for the idea, it's just too bad greed and power took over logical decisions. I really don't know what you guys think anymore so post and maybe we can get something together. -sean

Good concept but, Friends and money don't mix well. I'd rather keep my friends.... Also...Letting everyone line up 20 minutes before the bell.....Sends a signal out to the MM's causing a gap......then your chasin' but, Good luck to you. You're better off learning to do Good DD. Learn charting and learn the OTC...see what' moving and jump on....if you can. Just my penny's worth......Which ain't much.
I think........everyone is not liking everyone much since this whole group thing started. Sounding more and more like RB......It just sucks. I want my old AS back...WHINE....LOL

lil thanks for the post, i was hopeing you would voice your opinion. I just was thinking if we are goign to do this we should do it right or as close as we can. I wanted everyone to benefit, and not have myself or my friends here get burned. If i can't get a unanimous decision then i will not bring it up again. I know people will follow because it's an easy money concept but i want logical decisions.

I like the idea. I have very little knowledge and need to do some DD, but most interested.

i'm not a big fan of the groups...i watch 'em on my screeners, and if they make a good pick i'll buy from/with them... i really think groups in general are hurting the market cuz 90% of the stocks they pick are GARBAGE, real garbage... learn to read SEC filings...do a google for nasdaq, the filings are all right there... a lot of the groups are PAID in stock to do their thing... check for filings where the company pays off unspecified "debts" in small lots of shares...or another good one: "consulting fees" there really are some pennies that are REAL, but the groups have a hard time working them cuz, the shares don't just come on the market easily... if you bring a good pick TO THE BOARD, it'll run.....maybe not today, but sooner or later...

Thanks glassman, i appreciate your DD on my suggestion. Would it make a difference if the stock pick was legit and a good choice? I don't like the idea of a group either, this would work as a whole, everyone here. More like a detailed concentration of a stock in short amount of time(ha i perdy much just rephrased what we are talking about). I dunno just throwing it out there, so far you and lil (whom i trust and respect on this board) have pretty much made it clear the best way to go is good DD and patience. I was just wondering if it was possible to cuz down the time in a intelligent fashon. Thanks for your replies guys, i'm going to get some shut eye

I am not here to reject, or accept the premise of 'group picks'. It is not my place to pass judgement or tell anyone what they should or shouldnt do.
With that being said, I do have an opinion so far in watching the frenzy occur since the group pick concept has been established.
1. Trying to minipulate a stock contrary to its natural market course.
2. There are no friends when it comes to money.
3. Laziness. There is limited DD being done, and usually by one, maybe 2 people, while everyone jumps to get on board and spend money on something that they really have no idea is worth something, or worthless.
In this short time that Ive watched a few stocks being traded with the 'group' scenario, in less than 2 weeks we get a post regarding a criticism session between Gainster and Repo, and a stock pumped out there to see if people would fall for it?
I know this is a board to discuss potential stocks, ones that may be in play, and most importantly, good DD done by good people.
With this being said, I have been noticing alot more people suddenly post simple threads like....
New here, need help with a stock pick... can you give me one? Instead of people doing the amount of DD to the best of their ability, throw out that DD, and then let others on the board discuss the merits of it, or add to it.
This is getting to be too much like a pyramid scheme, and not a sound trading board. In the end, only those with the knowledge, and the abilities will make good money, while the novices will lose their money chasing what they dont understand.
Just my 2 cents in objective observation.

glassblowing is a "team" effort when you are making complicated peices... in Italy they generally use 4 and 5 man teams... it's amazing how productive you can be when you "leave your ego at the door"

what does everybody want to see in a GOOD pick?
don't tell me it's going up....
in a GREAT pick, i look for stocks that are experiencing strong increases in volume WITHOUT going up(but not going down either)....then i pull the L2 quotes and WATCH the trading....
