Hi tqn. You'll be at work when you read this. I agree--thinking of XM and SIRI. Potential--it is whatever interests the market.

I could be wrong, but I think this stock is way overrated (for now at least). It is going to be awhile before you see anything substantial. I do, however, believe this company has the potential to get there one day. Just hang on for the bumpy ride ahead!

I'm not attacking you when I ask, what do you see now that is overrated? Nothing but good news lately, Letterman acknowledges QTN and no one else, Here! is reported to have poor programming while QTN is praised, QTN comes up with innovative live television for the gay community, etc etc.
The only problem I see right now is the pps doesn't reflect the good news.
Many people have mentioned it though, the stock rose 4900% this year with a peak at 28000%. Thats a pretty damn good year for a company that only soft launched and had 1/100th of what it has going for it now. If we produce the same results this year we'll be sitting at .196 with a peak at 1.12.
Now consider that they're finally establishing an actual show and are no longer just soft launching. We're waiting on the PR about the celebrity gay talk show hosts for Good Morning Gay America. They're producing shows, Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, that have commentaries from 50 celebrities not including well known gay personalities.
Like many technical investors say, there are many phases to a stock and the big one before a large price increase is accummulation. I still think we're in that phase. Now that we're getting nationwide exposure a lot of people are taking notice and pretty soon we'll make another launch upwards.
Accumulation Phase - This phase occurs immediately after the stock or index has made a new bottom. Note! It is quite common for stocks to retest the bottom two to three times before an actual serious accumulation phase begins.
We're testing the new lows now. I think we've set up a decent base just waiting for that one PR or MM day when the price just rockets.
I'm honestly asking what it is about QTN that you believe is overrated. I won't bash you and would rather engage in a convorsation. If you'd rather you can PM me. Matt

I like this so much I will paste it here one more time. Frank Olsen, CEO of Q Television Network. "With our network building a strong subscription base, our exclusive contract with the Gay Games and having finalized many of our carrier agreements worldwide with many more in the works, we stand firm on our belief of being a multi-billion dollar media company in the foreseeable future."
Carriers just sounds really nice. Soon we will be hearing more, go Q.

Member Rated: posted January 12, 2005 10:42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bundo: I was morally opposed to it also. Being involved in medicine I use to buy pharmaceutical stocks, but now it would appear that those companies could care less about the ill affects its products have on the public. As long as they make money, so morally they suck.
Is it any worst to make money with companies who take the trust of the public with drugs and then make announcements about potentially dangerous side effects or support a gay channel.
It would appear to me that in the stock market, morals are left at the brokerage door.
I own QBID and I don't think that it will kill or harm anyone, I no longer own drug stocks, they do kill or harm many. IMO
GO MLON!!! GO QBID!!!!!

The success ($$$$$$) of QBID will come from three key areas IMO :
- solid fiscal management with known financials
- solid distribution (e.g.: "name brand" carriers, strong subscription base, nationwide / world wide "rights")
- buzz, buzz, buzz (" I want my Q TV !" )
From what I have read, QBID is chipping away at all of this keys but still has work to do :
- The financial side of Q is still murky and needs to be justified and clarified more and more. Once the numbers within the Q organization look solid and can be tracked, the financial area will be viewed as a positive, instead of what appears to be a negative (at this time). This will appease the conservative side of the investor community.
- The distribution side of Q is the strongest area IMO right now. A steady stream of PR's regarding RCN happenings, programming details, Gay Games rights, etc... has made this THE base of Q's success as it stands today. Once the "name brand " carriers come on board (not talking about satellite co. XYZ...but solid/ financially stable name brand companies) and subscription numbers can be verified, the 2nd key to success ($$$$$$) will be achieved.
- The "buzz" is brewing. Inside the various forums there is a constant "buzz" about QBID (or whatever your "stock of the moment" is). But the "buzz" that can be generated from a brief mention on national TV via David Letterman or a PR regarding a tribute to an icon in the world (not just the gay world) like Liz Taylor, is where the REAL "buzz" begins to unlock the most critical key to success ($$$$$$). Q NEEDS to become THE place where not only subscribers, but the media & entertainment world AND mainstream America turn to for there gay info. It needs to be the "in thing" to watch, be watched on and be associated with. Q needs to be chic and ultimately become a cliché. . Q needs to become synonymous with gay television (e.g.: Kleenex = tissue or Xerox = copier.....Q = gay TV ?). The "buzz" key is still in its infancy but it is the key that can build momentum the fastest and make Q successful ($$$$$$) literally overnight.

I just picked up some more shares of Q, so now I would imagine the price will drop and the rest of you can buy in at super low prices.
I agree with Kencoda's post of 11:29 today. It's well put and I couldn't add or improve it more than it already is.
Hope you're all having a terrific day!!

DIANA, What broker can I use in order to make instant trades like you do? Right now I have Scottrade and Lowtrade and they are both a slow process in getting any thing done. I don't want to put down a $25000 deposit, however! Thank you for any input on this.
