I'm not suggesting you guys are not doing so, but please remember to be sensitive to this HORRIBLE tragedy that has killed 80+ thousand people. We should be more focused on how we can help those who have lost so much than to be focused on how we can gain from this disaster.

Wish you well, guys 'n gals...

Good point River, however I can't do too much from where I am now. Plus, any money I make on this is money that I can donate to charitable causes and relief efforts.

That being said, I also like STRN on the short term pullback. Not a penny, but interesting nonetheless.

"STRN (Sutron Corp.) provides real-time data collection, telemetry and technical expertise to monitor, control, manage and forecast activities in areas of hydrology, meteorology and water management. The products of the Group include sensors, data collection platforms and remote terminal units with telemetry capability and system and application software. "

This isn't meant as a 'take advantage' situation. But if i can make money and help others do the same, it's that much more money available to donate/assist the people in need. http://www.redcross.org/

The PureSafe Water Station™ handles virtually any type of source water. Because ozone is the core technology, all models of the PureSafe Water Station™ eliminate pathogenic contamination.

PureSafe Water Station™ delivers up to 15,000 gallons of pure, healthy drinking water each day at less than a penny per gallon. The power it draws is equivalent to a full-sized refrigerator.

The PureSafe Water Station is a self-contained, six-stage water purification system that produces up to 15,000 gallons of clean, healthy water from any source. The PureSafe destroys all living pathogens and handles a broad range of organic and inorganic water contaminants, producing pure water for less than half a penny per gallon. In addition to the core version of the PureSafe Water Station, WaterChef also markets versions of the PureSafe for ocean water desalination, heavy metals removal and the remediation of arsenic contaminated water. For those making $ off this, visit the below site (copy and past the URL to your browser)...

FurrySound mentioned this site too. It is a good one for donating...we have a responsibility as financially blessed people...

Not to be morbid but we have all made money on stocks that thrive on problems. Tobaco stocks, liquer stocks, anything to do with the army. Even large caps like GE or others that make things like engines for plane's that droped bombs after 9/11. The companys listed have products that help people in trouble and would not be there if they didn't have shareholders suppling money to do research ect. I don't think anyone should feel guilty from makeing a profit.

Sorry for the spelling errors but it's still real early on the west coast

Yes we have all made money on problems but this is a crisis. It's a shame that when something of a magnitude like this happens is when we think, Well how can we make money. 116,000 people have died and we trying to figure how we can capitalize financally on this situation and that comment about we can donate some of our earnings from these stocks that relates to the situation over there Is Bogus, ya'll ain't donating squat. If that's the case why don't ya'll donate some of the money u guys have earned from other stocks already that has nothing to do with what's going on over there such as mlon, cybt, and Qbid. Donate some of that money. You don't have to make money just from a stock that is related to the situation to donate money. Money earned is money earned, bottomline.

Have to agree with Repo....if companies have a product that is beneficial to the people going thru the crisis and we stop trading it out of some twisted form of respect...the company cannot grow to do more for people who are going to be in the next unforeseen catastrophe...which I think is a given.

Donating is great....how much of your money will reach the needy after administration fees of these organizations.
Since the summer months of trading are slow,we should make enough money here the next four months in daytading to sustain our lives for one month in the summer coming up...take a leave of absence if you work for someone else for one month and go to the problem...go and help first hand..
DRO - Daytraders Relief Organization...I'm not kidding.
