What is bright dayglow orange, has six feet, three times as big as an aircraftcarrier yet flys at the speed of sound??????????????? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? It's OK,,,, I don't know either!
But I do know that Genuine "Broadcasting" National TV Networks do not trade for less than a dollar a share & that's the reason,,,

just a thought but logo is supposed to be up & running 2 days after "On The Move" goes to 150 channels. could that be that Q is going out on logo?? also wondering if anyone on another board has reported that Q is scrambled. as Q isn't available to anyone on this board maybe someone can confirm it from elsewhere. wasn't the scramble date pushed back to Jan 1st???

the inspector's links on the closed thread actually refreshed my memory to a couple things..
the logo interview says: "MTV executives said programming will be comprised of about 25 percent originally developed shows, ---> with the remainder coming from outside sources <--- . " http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/lesbiansontv/a/LOGO.htm
imo, and ive always said it, there will be a merger somewhere down the line.. be it with logo/pridevision or whatever. the fact is that broadcasting or not, having a plethora of ready-to-air programming available makes Q valuable.
i think the picture is bigger than we can imagine. ~BB

See here is where the problem is. People expected a PR today even though it was never stated that a PR was going to happen today. We let these little wantabee profits fill our heads that this will happen on this date and when it doesn't we get mad at Q and blame them for others statements. Frank said that carriers would be announced at first of the year in January. He never said January the 3rd. So why do we expect one now. So panic selling is going on because Joeblow from this another board announced that PR was today. The same ones that said it was going to be Christmas and then it was going to be last Tuesday then last Friday then Today. I guess he can keep saying that until it happens and hes a profit again.
Don't panic sell, PR will happen soon enough but on companies timeframe not ours.

Viacom knows th G/L community will not pay good money for the type of programing they offer. This demographic is working with $600 Billion Dollars of Discretionary income for a reason. Their numbers tend to be much better educated than than any other segment of society or minority. Viacom's Sumner Redstone wants to get in on the gold rush & he knows that MTV's form of programing is unlikely to attract & hold this customer. MTV has made a mint by programing in such a way as not to challenge their audience on a cognitive level. Viacom may never launch LOGO,,,unless they buy QBID!
Frank has a history of developing & selling media companies. That's what he's doing now!!!! He may not say it but he will sell. When he has said there will be no reverse split as long as I'm a part of this company he's not saying there will never be a reverse split. He's saying it will not occur while he's the owner! He doesn't care about O/S. He simply cares about owning controlling interest. $3.80 a share for 1.5 billion shares is the same as .38 a share for 15 billion shares.
Frank has said this will be worth about $5 Billion in 5 years. I guarantee you he will not own this 5 years from now. Frank will sell the whole thing for approximately $6 billion in less than two years. Viacom's first bid will be about .24! They'll settle at .38

Babe & Whiz....i don't think logo is dead. i do think it will launch but i do agree whiz that a mtv type programing format will not fly. i'm thinking that maybe logo does not have enough good programing lined up & Q is more then willing to fill the void. i'm also wondering about a few lines of prs & the fact that the scramble date was pushed back along with RCN not launching in at least chicago yet. Q's programing might be the right stuff (Q live in seatle & on the move going to 150 stations) but i have an idea that subs are not coming in as thought. BET isn't premium, hispanic channels are not premium, maybe the G/L community feels that they should not have to pay for quality programming. by sending Q shows out to free stations frank may be testing the waters for putting Q out as a free station. thats why i was wondering if anyone knew if Q went scrambled. i'll call Q later today from home but i can't really from my office. i have an idea that cable companies aere testing the market with Q & here!. they want to see if the g/l community is willing to pay a monthly fee for a channel. frank may be thinking ahead by letting out a few shows for free stations & getting paid to look in both directions. to make a company work you have to be willing to change & maybe premium is not the way to go. the ad dollars for a free station sure seem to be there.

You make very good sense Bill! Excellent post! logo may not be dead but do not expect to see them in Feb unless they buy some programing from others. I like your thoughts on advertising dollars being there for free TV & the possibility of Q being tested by carriers.

i'm hoping that he's using these shows as a test for like an 'on-demand' type syndication...
could be a way for a nice profit stream for these apparently well-produced and positive reviewed programs...
also would not limit q to 1 ppv network...
on a side note....comcast is putting up the largest building in philly--done 2 1/2 years--for their corp hq....be nice for the qtn to have an office in there...lol

DUring a christmas dinner I brought up qbid. The first thing my friend told me was that he knew 2 girls who went to MTV with ideas for a gay cartoon. MTV was interested and they offered them money for the idea, but no part in it. The girls declined as the ammount of money was low and the parts they would have were minimal.

But just think of the "BOING" we have from there. The last bounce we had was from the 2's.
The news only gets better, and...IMHO...it will continue to do so. Ric is right. Don't panic sell....this is all that is going on. Don't anticipate a PR...It only hurts the pps.
Terry, I personally would get more NMCX... I am loaded with Q (at these prices at least).

I guess there goes the theory that Frank will release PR's to keep the pps at .005 or above. Matt

see that our q is down this morning but doesnt bother me one bit. my reason? well, i have to prepare to pay those x'mas bills, my property tax is due...so if i was one of those, i have to sell... anyway, if i have more cash, i would have loaded up again...but no cash... besides, many of us, included me, have donated to the asia tragic, and the money is out of the cash pool as well.
