Im tired of reading through countless pages of bulls**t posts to read one person post something about the actual stock or company etc.. So this thread is specifically for DD and other talk about Qbid and not gossip or arguments going back and forth!

Ok as far as there being any broadcasting to Coachella Vally (Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, La Quinta, etc..) I was not able to find any. I live in Palm Springs and I am pretty sure that the only cable company available out here is Time Warner and they are not broadcasting Q yet. I saw people saying it was broadcasting out in this area on another thread and wanted to clear that up.

I called 1-800-RING-RCN and was told early October. I asked about channel 280 in San Fran and she said all she knows is early October. She sounded like she has been inundated with calls. That's all I know.
I didn't call Frank and Co. It seems like the rollout is happening. Sure would like to see some confirmed sitings.
It looks like every is jumping around. Thanks, Lil

QTN is definatly on the air, meaning on satellite. We are airing 24 hour programming since June 2004. The program line-up extended last Saturday with more movies and original reports.
If someone is watching, like a cable company, we don't know! With a digital MPEG 2 satellite receiver anyone could watch it. However, these commercial satellite receivers are expensive and hard to come by.

Here is something I asked Howard Stern on his website and hoping for a reply. Howard I was wondering if you had heard about this new network called QTN, it's the first GLBT network to launch in the US.Needless to say Viacom is saying that their going to be the first in 2005.QBID has launched with RCN in San Fran. and soon to be New York,Chicago,Penn,Mass, and La. Rumors also have it that Time Warner and Comcast may also broadcast it.I think it would be a great avenue for you to explore being how much the gay population likes you.So just wanted to know if you had heard of them. Thanks Rosbro09

Get ready for Q Television Q Television, a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community, announced it has overcome its technical problems and will launch Sept. 8. "We have two goals for the network, our first goal at Q Television Networks is to rapidly grow to 150,000 subscribers within the first year and 250,000 the second year," Frank Olsen president and CEO of Q Television said in a press release. "Secondly, we want to make the Network interactive with its subscribers through a unique use of some of the latest technology." While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public.

Don't know if anyone saw this yet but here is some info on a talk show on QTN. It is suppose to air this sept.
There's a ground-breaking new TV network in the works called Q Television Network (QTN) - the nations's first 24/7 Gay & Lesbian channel: I have recently met with the network execs and will be doing the pilot talk show series as one of the hosts!!! QTN is set to launch in Sept. '04 as a pay cable channel, (by Triangle Multi-Media, not to be confused w/ MTV's upcoming channel, Logo in Feb. '05) so order QTN early!
