ct_here you're completely off about whizknock. Whiz has been doing quite some DD for us and only posts facts. Sometimes pastes other posts from other members but trust me, he's ok and he doesn't just want to get hits on the site.
Now the other guy maybe...haven't followed his posts
.............................................................

But the truth is I outright told people to generate hits on the QBID site & even wrote Ct & showed him the post I wrote as to why. I think he understands now. Some people are just a little too tight. I'm not because I know,,,

I wrote to Mr Downing at RCN's investor relations about QTV and got a response (below). I was writing as an RCN shareholder.

Thanks for the note- still waiting on exact details around timing, pricing,
marketing- I have a note into our video programming group and will get you
the latest once I hear back.

Sincerely,

Jim Downing

Dear Mr. Downing,

According to this press release (pasted below), by the new gay cable
channel Q television, RCN is supposed to be offering the channel to its
subscribers in September. As a shareholder, I was wondering why there
isn't any information about the channel on the RCN website. This
channel could potentially bring in a lot of revenue for RCN due to the
strength of the gay community and their disposable income (estimated at
half a trillion dollars per year). Is this press release accurate?

Good news. Just spoke to RCN...
I spoke to John in Customer Service (1-609-734-3700). He just received an email today saying that training will begin tomorrow for the Q Channel and the launch will happen later this week or early next week. He said that the Q Channel will launch in Manhattan, San Francisco and Chicago in this first launch. http://site.iwebcenters.com/qtn10/index.html

Everyone.About the ads.

Who cares, at this point let us just launch. However, these banner ads could be "pay-per-click ads" (that's why there are so many) that companies like Doubleclick and 24/7 media sell for advertising. Then split revenue from these companies with the host provider which would be Q television in this instance. Just another method of advertising and generating funds.. By the way, I'm from Long Island and know for a fact Doubleclick and 24/7 real media are in NYC just where Scott Seger is located. Also, the more you click on these ads the more money everyone affiliated makes... Hmm But anyway it's good to have regardless just a different method of online advertising. By the way I owned 24/7 @ .20 cents last year and sold at $2 for some good cash. I know quite a bit about online advertising now. Just a different angle on all this. Go Q. Later all.

1am & the counter at the bottom of the page is off the hook.......
http://www.qtelevision.com/advertising.html

At this rate we'll be past half a million hits in the not too distant future.

Even now at over a quarter million hits this is impressive.

Anybody think this might be of interest to online businesses? I do.

San Francisco is a Comcast world. RCN only provides dial up internet service in the area.

Good morning Qbidians,

It sucks I won't be able to see what's going on with Q over this holiday. I will be in Jamaica drinking Red Stripes! I guess I should put my limit order in for $5!

As Whizknock always says "All we have to do is launch".

Good morning everyone. I'm so excited about the next few trading days. Potential here is out of this world... Feel like I should be decked out in knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, mouth piece and whatever else you guys wear (jock-strap, too?) for the turbulence ahead! Hope everyone has their gear on for the day!

Everyone, have a lovely, happy-trading day.

AF1---you know, I've never thought of that...puts my 'bad' days into perspective very fast

Thanks everyone for the charts last night. I really appreciate the links and posts.

Fastrunner: I have a lot of friends who live in SF and they have RCN as their cable TV provider. RCN covers mostly the Mission District, Castro and Portola Valley, all choice living areas for the gay population in SF.I have also been posting information about QBID in the gay.com rooms for SF and there is much excitment about this launch. So IMO our target population in SF is mostly served by RCN. GO QBID!!!!!! Show me the $$$$$$
