Good morning everyone. Read all of the posts from lastnight and you guys gathered information fast!! (lol)
Thought the new website post was more outstanding news...but it is definitely NEWSWORTHY. This kind of public relations builds a strong community image and a positive image, which are essential in this type of venture. QTN is going into virgin territory...it should take every opportunity to promote and sell itself to the public. That's good pr in and of itself.
Over the last week alone, I have contacted cable companies, satellite companies... emailed newspapers in CA...Even have my sister doing this too. Please let me know what else I can do.
There is no reason to call QTN regarding this website update...came from the Q camp. Information about the move did not. It was originally a rumor. (Evidently I bugged a few of you by confirming this move. Sorry, but when a company that I have invested thousands of dollars into is allegedly moving, Gee, I want to know where. Just the way I am (lol). So, no need to get a confirmation on a website update.
Would like to see the last two website posts be rewritten and released into a solid press release format. They are tooooo good to be languishing on a website. Frank needs to be massaging the masses with this information, not the investors. ...although I do love a good massage (laugh).
Wishing us all good luck and a happy day.
Just saw Diana's post...realize you don't know me, but I want to say that I wish you would post more often. Miss your insight, perspective and AWESOME DD! Just my 2 cents...2 cents by Oct? (LOL)

What does it mean when NITE is on the ask and the bid? Does that mean NITE won't let it move up? Anyone up for a quick investment learning lesson this a.m.? (laugh)

Yep...when this pr does come out...it should be GREAT!
Thanks sunny! I haven't caught up on threads yet! LOL... lots to read... I appreciate the thoughts!! Thanks to all who took a minute to wish others well... many didn't fare well.
Actually, when that sucker took the wild hook to the east, it completely bypassed me. I had a few spinkles and that was it. Sadly, many people who fled the Tampa Bay area for inland shelter went right into the center of it.

Think I'm QBID obsessed. A salesman left a message on my answering machine last week, and because he sounded feminine (not meant to sound mean, just thinking of a potential QTN viewer), I actually called him back. (I'm such a goober...found out he's married and has a daughter...still thinking me might be gay...(lol)...and definitely think he needs the Q!) (laugh) Heck, at this point, so do I!

Sunny, IMO it will not only be Gays that will buy this channel. There are lots of so called str people who will buy (just for a peek) because their curiosity runs wild. They will not admit it but " people are curious by nature". I have always felt that the audience will not be limited to the gay community. So IMO anyone with cable TV in the served areas is a potential customer.

I'm still here too. Recent lows have made me cranky because I'm DOWN so much with this stock. But I've still held every share!
My Q cap is off to all those who have positively posted throughout this long hot summer ~ that would be Big Tip and Sunny in particular. You two have more faith than George Michael!
~Pharm~ So very glad to hear that all is well with you.

Wow!...see I go to Walmart, and am gone a little over an hour and WHAM! TOBP, thanks! That is, to me, even better than the website updates. This is FINALLY something real...a concrete advertisement for the WORLD to see, not just investors. Excellent news!
Doctoall... I agree with you that this channel will be viewed by more than just the g/l community. Heck, if I can get my Q, then I certainly will be paying $7.95 monthly... just think about all of the investors alone who would subscribe to QTN...that's a profit right there! (lol) I did not intend any disrespect in one of my earlier posts...just trying to give an example of how I'm now looking for potential subscribers and marketing ideas...(laugh)
Did someone mention George Michael? Hey, there's a subscriber too. Think QTN will go global?
If flyers were available from the Q, I would literally put them on my neighbors' doors. lol...with homemade cookies.
The Gay & Lesbian Yellow Pages Launches Exciting New Web Site - www.GLYP.com
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 2004--The Gay & Lesbian Yellow Pages, Inc(TM) (GLYP) is pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved GLYP.com Web site. GLYP, Inc, a member of the Yellow Pages Integrated Media Association, is the only YPIMA publisher focused on serving gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) consumers and friends. "Our mission is to provide our community with access to the most up-to-date information on where to buy the products and services needed by our families," says Laura Villagran, founder/CEO. "We are very proud of our 14-year history of service here in the Gulf coast and we're looking forward to expanding our reach and continuously improving on the quality of services presented to the GLBT community going forward," she goes on to say.
GLYP distributes over 300,000 directories throughout the country and the Web allows advertisers to reach those customers unable to obtain a book while at work or out and about in less gay-inclusive parts of the country. GLYP.com displays local information in both traditional search engine results and in a new "look and feel format." Click on a city such as Houston or Dallas and you will see an actual version of the printed books. "We think this is the way of the future and sometimes a picture does say more than a 1,000 words. We are very excited to have the opportunity to provide this service to the GLBT community nationwide," says Villagran.
This enthusiasm is shared by key operations and marketing partners: Information Pages.com and YellowPageCity.com. "Information Pages, developer of the 'look and feel' yellow pages format, enables print publishers such as GLYP to enliven their directories with dynamic content and features available on the Web," says JoAnna Weeks, director of marketing. Links to the GLYP book are also hosted on YellowPageCity.com via marketing collaboration. "YellowPageCity.com provides independent yellow page publishers the opportunity to pool their resources and thus ensuring they can compete with major telecommunications and Internet goliaths for the attention of advertisers and direct consumers nationally and in their core markets," says Steve Pavone, president.
For more information, please visit GLYP.com, InformationPages.com, or YellowPageCity.com. Prepared by Trent Jefferson, Business Consultant, Houston, 713-523-1787.

So according to the post TOBP found, does this mean that Time Warner has a contract to offically run QTN and provide services? I knew that had a contract in the beginning with Time Warner, but now it has become more inclusive? Is this the real 2nd carrier??? If so, fabulous!

Okay. What we need right now, besides meds for me, is an official, beautifully-written press release from Deveney, stating that Time Warner is carrying QTN in CA....sound like too much to ask...Come on, Time Warner's number is plastered on the advertisment!!! Is this the Big one?
If so, I need another Twix and a press release, with fries, thanks.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm dang guess its back to work tomorrow. lol it was a great post I loved seeing the add. I would really love directv explaining to me how I could order Q thru them for 7.95 a month then I will be really happy lol.
dont know if its true but a coworker told me that he thinks he saw an advertisement for QTN a few weeks ago wasnt sure which channel. I find it hard to believe though because I am sure they would continue running it.
