Wall Street Tunes into Q Television Network Thursday June 3, 6:00 am ET Successful Industry Launch Generates Interest from Carriers, Advertisers and Investment Leaders
PALM SPRINGS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2004--Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID - News) announces details surrounding the results of its industry launch, which began June 1. Within the first day of the network's availability on Intelsat America's 7, 129 degrees West, Channel 1, Q Television received considerable response from potential carriers and advertisers seeking more information regarding the network and its anticipated public launch.
As a result, network executives will travel to New York City June 6 - 11 to meet with private equity funds, hedge funds and securities dealers. All of these firms have indicated a strong interest in the upcoming launch and the opportunity for equity participation.
In addition, the executives also have appointments scheduled with cable companies and advertisers to present the current direction of Q Television Network.
"We anticipated that the soft launch would generate lots of inquiries regarding the availability of Q Television for carriage and advertising," notes president Frank Olsen. "Yet we were amazed how quickly everything has moved forward within the past 24 hours."
The network expects to announce major contracts within the coming weeks.

The only thing I see between the lines is a white background. But the actual lines I like are:
"Q Television received considerable response from potential carriers and advertisers seeking more information regarding the network and its anticipated public launch."
"All of these firms have indicated a strong interest in the upcoming launch and the opportunity for equity participation."= $$$
What else am I missing?

Seems probable. If they don't do it, we certainly can!

I could be wrong, but I think that was posted on RB, by someone who is considered a "credible source" by them over there, and was pasted on this board by one of our posters, I don't think that has been released by Q yet

Morning all!! In the real world when a stock splits, generaly you get 2 for 1. Here in penny land when we have a reverse split how does it usually go? 1 for 2 1/100 , 1/250 1/1k. Not trying to start the hole R/S thing over again. I know Frank said No R/S, but at some point it will have to be done. Just wondering how it usually happens here in the basement!!

It depends on the PPS at the time, if/when it is done, it would most likely be to get listed on the NASDAQ or another exchange with a minimum PPS requirement, the R/S to be done accordingly to meet that standard

If the point of a reverse split is to reduce the number of shares, wouldn't share buyback accomplish the same thing? If they buy back enough shares, there won't be a need for a reverse split.

A buyback costs the company money. A R/S doesn't (well, some admin costs I'm sure). I think if Frank said no R/S then there will be no R/S.

I've been quietly watching this thread this week and simply put, can't believe how the folks here are reacting. You all have been kept up to date on this stock for months by someone who takes a lot of time and care to babysit your asses at no personal gain to herself. Most of the lazy followers here wouldn't know how to put good DD together to save their lives. It's beginning to make me want to throw in the towel on helping folks on these "FREE" message boards. "What do I buy" "When do I sell it" "What's happening now", and then you have the audacity to question or judge someone who out of the goodness of the heart tries to help you. There aren't many "free" rides in the world people.....don't fall off the ones you do come across!!!

Those that questioned and judged are not the same ones that appreciated. In this world, there are the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY. I want to say thanks to those that share information.

If we are going to move past this, both sides, those for and against Di, need to let it die down and get back to QBID. Let it die Dog and make your own decisions whether you want to help people or not

When does everyone else expect the next PR?? I'm expecting maayybe next Friday when everyone gets back, but more likely the Monday after that (the 14th). Until then, I don't think we'll see very much activity on Q.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! You ROCK!! Thanks for your art, my friend.
Sorry, I've been out working today. Also, since people took too long to convince me not to sell yesterday, I caved and sold all my Q @ .0141. I'll be back next week.
I'm totally excited about CMKX right now. I'm up 300% in a week on my first purchase and up 33% today on my new purchase. I love how IBC radio calls it the next QBID!

Q TELEVISION NETWORK ANNOUNCES
A new network about the Gay and Lesbian experiences will be available for carriage July 1, 2004, in your territories. I find this to be exciting information.
A compressed broadcast day is available for viewing through the end of June on Satellite 1A-7, Transponder C1 at downlink frequency 3731.425 MHz Horizontal. 129 Degrees West. Channel 1.
In addition to motion pictures, documentaries and series, Q television Network (QTN) will go into the communities and report the news that is vital to it's members. With the new bureaus available to Q Television worldwide, QTN plans to be the 1st Gay/Lesbian network of choice.
You may contact the offices of Q Television at 760-323-4455 and speak with Steven Grunberg or Frank Olsen for further information.
Here is one of the latest news releases RE: Q Television.
Q Television Has Arrived: New Gay Family Television Network Showcases its Unique Perspective Prior to Public Launch 5/26/2004 6:00:00 AM
NEW ORLEANS, May 26, 2004, (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q. Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID), headquartered in California, announces the launch of a subscriber channel for the gay and lesbian community in July 2004. An industry soft launch for carriers and advertisers begins June 1, 2004.
"It has taken more than seven years and millions of dollars to arrive at this day," says president and chairman Frank Olsen. "Clearly, the time to launch this network is now, and I am confident that the gay and lesbian community will embrace the unique perspective we offer as a family channel."
In a pre-public move to preview a sample of its programming to cable and satellite industry professionals, as well as potential advertisers, Q. Television Network will offer a compressed daily broadcast that includes featured programs. The sample highlights Q Television's availability for carriage and sponsorship.
As executive vice president Steven Grunberg notes, "This is built by and for the gay community. Rather than a smattering of stereotyped gay characters offered because current market projections indicate it would be profitable, we offer a channel that will unite the gay and lesbian audience through a network that educates, entertains and informs - a network of real value."
Beginning June 1, the network will be available for viewing on Intelsat America's 1A-7, Transponder C1 at downlink frequency 3731.425 MHz Horizontal. 129 degrees West. Channel 1.
Olsen, an entrepreneur with a significant background in broadcasting, was instrumental in the launch of The Movie Channel prior to its acquisition by Showtime. A pioneer in the development of new radio broadcast formats throughout his 40-year career, Olsen helped create African American radio and started the first gay radio stations.
"Just as CNN had tremendous hurdles to overcome, Frank and Q Television Network have had an uphill battle in the launch of Q Television," observes CFO Rene Schenk. "Q Television is positioned to successfully meet the demand that exists for a gay family channel."
Original and Acquired Programming
With a system of production crews throughout the United States, Q Television Network will offer a combination of original and acquired programming, which includes sports, fashion, travel, health & fitness, talk shows, plays, documentaries and movies. Teams of producers and directors will also bring breaking stories of interest to the network's audience via access to bureaus in Washington, DC, New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Jerusalem and Iraq.
A preview of original programming premiered in May at the National Cable & Telecommunication Association's annual industry conference and was also included in a successful five-hour sample broadcast on May 15, which aired on Cox Cable in Louisiana and Comcast in the Puget Sound Region.
Included in that preview was "I Will, I Do, We Did," an original Q Television documentary exploring gay and lesbian marriage in America that offers an inside glimpse of the challenges faced by this community. Independent films, such as "An Intimate Friendship" and the award-winning "Straightman," are other examples of what will be available on the network, as well as commercial fare such as Bette Midler's "Divine Madness" concert.
