This week I have made free share possitions in 5 new stocks. Some range from 3,000 shares to millions. My question for you all is, how realistic & worthwhile is it to build a large free share portfolio of many stocks ranging 3,000 to 6,000 in free shares?

I am pondering these thoughts. Join me

It seems that the only way it is worth while is if at a later date you can sell for more than you sold at to get the free shares.

If you end up selling for less I would guess no number would be smart.

Ask Uncle Milty, from what I gather he has built some considerable retirment possibilities from free shares.

When I try to decide on free share positions, I try to determine whether its a flash in the pan run on the pps, or is it a real company with a potential future.

Flash in the pan run....sell it all.

Potential future....consider free shares.

That's just my opinion.

I define free shares as the shares left over after you sell enough to get your original investment back. Say you bought 10,000 shares of a company at a nickel for a total investment of $500.00 (excluding commissions). Then say the stock goes to .08. You could sell 6,250 shares to recoup your original $500.00 investment. The remaining 3,750 are your "free shares". You invested $500.00, you were returned $500.00 and you have 3,750 shares of stock that in effect cost you nothing.

The best type of free stocks, are the ones where people transfer ownership to you. Like for a belated Christmas gift, or because you're feeling nice, or want to give me an early birthday gift.

So....if anyone is feeling one of the above, just let me know

if i had those free shares i would consider it pure profit.i would set my mind to what price i would be willing to part with, and use the proceeds to but other potential gold mines.this way it hurts less if something were to happen.
