GlobeTel Announces Summit Success!
2:33 p.m. 02/23/2005 Provided by
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., Feb 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (GTEL), debuted the Stratellite prototype, Sanswire One, to its technology partners at its Stratellite Summit held in San Bernardino, California.
The conference was attended by over 100 invited people representing both military, commercial and investment banking sectors. Attendees came from countries such as: Australia, Great Britain, Peru, India, Venezuela, Nigeria, Ireland, Poland, and from all over the United States.
Timothy Huff, CEO of GlobeTel Communications stated today, "We had an overwhelmingly positive response at our Stratellite Technology Summit. Strategic parties saw first hand the incredible success we have had in designing and building the Stratellite, as well as the technological advantages we have incorporated into it." Mr. Huff went on to say, "The conference room did not have an empty seat and guests were forced to stand to hear the speakers and see our technology. It was a historic event for us."
In attendance for the military were senior officials from: SPAWAR, NASA, Air Force Space Command, Air Force research Lab, NavAirSyscom (Navy), and CECOM US Army.
Industry attendees included: 3M, Intel, Proton, Booz Allen Hamilton, Saracen International, Geneva Aerospace, and Crawford Communications. There were also numerous investment banking groups from all over the country represented at the summit.
Keynote speaker, and Sanswire Networks, LLC, board member, former Space Shuttle Commander Rick Searfoss (USAF-Ret.), gave attendees a motivating and validating address during the lunch break, stating, "It is a pleasure to be a part of a team with the vision and the foresight to make the Stratellite a reality. I believe in the project and am excited to lend my talents to this." Commander Searfoss was also the chief judge for the Ansari X Prize that awarded $10 million to the first commercial spacecraft to make two trips into space within two weeks.
Following the presentation on the Stratellite and its component technologies, from material selections, to power plant and guidance, attendees were taken to the Sanswire hangar and given the opportunity to see the Stratellite prototype now under construction. Also on display were the engines, guidance and other materials used in the building of the Stratellite. All attendees were under strict Non-Disclosure agreements and no cameras were allowed.
Timothy Huff went on to say, "The response from these parties could not have been stronger. People were thoroughly impressed by our progress and in awe of the sheer scale of the project. Vern Koenig and the rest of the team have built something that we believe will change communications, as we know it. We continue to work diligently toward the completion and launching of Sanswire One. Today, we break out into personalized meetings with attendees from the first day, which will conclude the Summit."
