A Message From TIGR Shareholders To Sony - THANK YOU!

As many of you may already know, Sony announced Thursday that the upcoming launch of its PSP unit will be now be postponed until at least March of 2005.

So why should TIGR shareholders be thanking Sony?

Because Sony was expected to be one of TIGR's most formidable competitors in this about-to-explode mobile gaming industry, that's why!

Because of this delay (which Sparky, despite tons of criticism, has been accurately predicting for months now), Sony's sure to completely miss out on several of the most important months, by far, in terms of market penetration.

And considering how tremendously TIGR is certain to benefit from Sony's delay in launching its PSP, Sparky's thoroughly confused as to why TIGR shares didn't stage a rip roaring rally on Friday. In fact, Sparky's wondering if Sony didn't establish a TIGR position during the week and short it Friday.

Sparky's kidding about this, of course; and he seriously doubts that any entity would be so foolish as to short TIGR shares.

But getting back to this all-important market penetration issue, it can't be stressed enough the extent to which market share will ultimately influence profitability, especailly for a company like TIGR, it being so tiny relative to it's industry peers.

To put this another way, if TIGR were to increase its market share by an even minimal amount as a result of Sony delaying its PSP launch (and it will!), the direct effect on TIGR's profitability potential will be remarkable!

In a proverbial nutshell, this is why Sparky thinks we TIGR shareholders really do owe Sony a sincere Thank You.

And since the street has all weekend to digest, analyze, and grasp the true significance of this delayed-PSP news, Sparky thinks Monday ought to be a high volume day for TIGR shares and also an execellent opportunity to accumulate.

Lastly, there is also a personal reason why Sparky's so pleased with Sony's PSP delay.

Specifically, over the past several months, when listing Gametrac's competitors, Sparky has often referred to the PSP as Sony's "probably-not-until-2005" PSP.

Well because of this little phrase, Sparky's received at least a half dozen emails, two from authors claiming to work at Sony, each of which has verbally assaulted and bashed Sparky for predicting this delay, all claiming that his views were obviously biased, based only on desires and not fact.

How utterly absurd! Sparky may have fun from time to time, but in reality, he's considered by those in the know to be quite the qualified analyst, the type who carefully formulates opinions, predictions, and other conclusions on the basis of existing data, not subjective BS.

That said, Sparky accurately based his Sony-PSP-delay prediction solely on Sony's past dismal performances - nothing more, nothing personal, just facts.

So, while there should be no hard feelings Sony, we do thank you sincerely for the additional resulting market share; for TIGR can use it and, rest assured, will make the very best of it.

Best Regards,

Sparky
