I have watched the recent run up in oil sand stocks. Has anyone done any research on these stocks and are there any bargain buys left.

I like NSE - have a deal pending in the NWT on some native controlled land that has very lucrative oil and gas assets. But besides that they also have several other producing assets.
The real driver will be the NWT deal and if it goes expect a 10-bagger. No guarantees when you are dealing with environmental issues up there, so its not a forsure.

"how can USA residents buy canadian pennies?"
Well we are talking oil sands here. There were 2 oil sand stocks I was aware of in Nov /05. Deer Creek selling at $7 CAN went to $25+ early summer last yr. We missed buying any. It was a toronoto exchange stock but its USA symbol is a PK. So you have to look up its PK symbol. Type in Deer Creek on yahoo and you get the toronto and USA/PK symbol.
Now CANWEST was selling at 22-30 cents all last oct and nov. We only bought 10K. My father is a skepic and afraid to lose his money. So he doesn't make much money either.
Luckily canwest was a OB symbol, easier to trade.
I also found WENTWOTH ENERGY a Utah oil sand, was $1 last aug-oct. Now she's at $4. Of course we didn't buy any. We are real slow , but I'm now cathching on as to what to buy. Now its very difficult to find a low priced oil sand stock.

Ahh and Surge Global/SRGG.OB, I found that 2 yrs ago, but didn't like it at first. Now she's climbing, again we didn't buy any.
also look at STRATA/SOIGF.OB.
We could have bought in at $1.60 several times, buy failed to swing the bat and called 3 strikes.
She's now at $3.25.
I'm learing. But slow.
What is the symbol for UTS?
Couldn't find it.

Thats WENTWORTH.
They have some sort of oil extraction process they are working on, this is what drove the stock up.
I was not aware of this project until the other day.
I only figured they had some oil sands in utah.
See DD is very very important. The more you do DD the better picks you'll have.
