Click the link and read the article.
Gold, Silver and Platinum are a trinity, like the DOW Transports, Industrials and Utilities.
The Dow theory guys have been screaming that the weakness in the transports was foreshadowing a market fall. They were right.

Now, in the precious metals, platinum has been in a tight channel formation for 9 months.
A tight channel formation after a run-up is very bearish. If platinum cracks, that would be a major non-confirmation for gold and silver, and they would fall as well.

I posted that other link to show that everyone has a different opinion.

I like the palladium sector.

Also, I started palying the stockmarket in my early 20s and never started consistently making money until I used technical analysis.

Go to www.bigcharts.com and learn how to use the site. It is the best charting service on the web.

The first thing I do before I buy a stock is look at THE 10 YEAR CHART.

Lots of the ideas I get are from brokers and newsletters, but I do not buy anything that is heavily promoted.
I receive Canaccord broker D.Pescod's newsletter and get some ideas from there.

I ONLY BUY speculative stocks that have made a long term bottom.(Or in a powerful uptrend coming out of a long-term bottom).
In the 1996 gold rush, a company called Romarco Minerals hit $8-$9/share.

Today it is at 25 cents with an impressive Nevada property portfolio.
It is not ready to run quite yet, but with strong institutional ownership and less than 25 million shares out, it will someday be a nice winner.
