SAN DIEGO, Feb 25, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rancho Bernardo Community Bank (OTCBB: RBCB) announced after tax earnings of $996,000 for the year 2003, up from earnings of $347,000 for the year 2002. For 2003, basic earnings per share were $1.13 and diluted earnings per share were $1.07. Fourth quarter 2003 earnings were $505,000 up from $103,000 for the same period in 2002. Earnings for the last quarter increased dramatically as a result of core earnings increasing by approximately 160% and, as the result of a favorable resolution to a pending law suit, the recovery of a provision for legal expenses made in 2002.
