nah, I'm here. MT up a touch. FAS and DRN up a touch as well. About time we see some green market. Just patiently waiting for my MT to come up to a good selling point.

I use scottrade as well. I would not worry about MT raj. It will come up. Commodities are at the bottom of their cycle right now. Don't sell until that baby gets back to $42.

Yeah, did you see the DOW down over 990 points at one point? That was nuts. It went from 300 down to 900 down in about 3 mins, I kid you not. I jumped out of MT with a nice 6% loss, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. I am thinking about sitting on the sidelines for awhile guys.

Severe panic selling. All my gains from the year are erased. The Europe debt situation is worriesome. Double dip recession?

First reason was Greece.

600 point drop is because of this:

City Group guy screwed up. They had a guy screw up and sell 16 BILLION of stock when they were really trying to sell 16 MILLION worth. There ya go...BUY BUY BUY!!!

My Jeep is sold $17,000. Time to get a RAM 1500. [Smile] Actually have a police auction Saturday where I hope to buy a YAMAJUNK R1 for CHEEP!!! Thinking I can buy it for under $4,000. Then sell it no problem for $5,000. Then Sunday I check out a RAM 1500 that I will likely buy. Maybe I should go put all this money in the bank and buy some SIRI/MT/??? Then cash out Monday and buy it all....???? [Confused]

Hey Glen, whatup? I got up early to make sure we weren't going to see another crash freakshow. I put $$ into FNM yesterday, trying to make a quick gain.

Well, I got out of MT yesterday cause I freaked out. Got back in this morning because I still like the stock and it's cheap. It was a wash for me overall. Ended up losing a little money, but I am already back up this morning. Not sure what's gonna happen today. I think we will be green though.

Well it always seems to me that MT follows the market quite a bit, so if the market is green, you will be too.

Yeah, problem was I freaked out yesterday and didn't trade my plan. This time I am. I don't even have my trading platform up. I have a sell order in for $42.00 and I am leaving it until it hits.

Glenn-Sometimes that's the best way to go. I've found that, to an extent, micro-managing is what it is, it's micro-managing. Sometimes you just have to let it go. Especially when it's a solid stock. Like SIRI for example: When I bought it last month I bought it fairly high compared to that .78 low we saw. And at one point I was down about $1500. But they're solid, and I know the stock. After all was said and done, I made some good $bucks.

I think we're going to see a little bit of a crazy-volatile market for a while.

I haven't actually heard if this trade glitch was confirmed, as far as someone within City group that entered billions instead of millions. What do you think he said afterwords??...."OOPS...Sorry, fat fingered it" That's a pretty hefty mistake.......and then the "machines" take over and the T-1000 is made and Arnold Schwartzeneger kills us all...maybe Ted Kaczynski was right. The machines will be out ultimate downfall....??

I don't personally believe the 16 million billion mistake. You have to enter zero's on the number. You can't put an order down for "16 billion" shares. In addition, 16 billion is 8 TIMES the float for Proctor Gamble and nearly impossible I would imagine. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, I don't quite believe it either. I too think it would be fairly impossible for something like that to go through the system without double and tripple checking, and even then I would assume there would be LOTS of red flags that would come up before a mistake like that COULD be made.

RAJ,
hope you held on to your MT. I think you will be pleasantly surprised this morning. I am still not selling until it gets to $42 though.

Raj or TJ or whoever. Let me know what you think about this idea for today only. Thinking about getting out of MT, jumping into FAS because it moves faster, and then selling at HOD and back into MT. Whatcha think?
